Terrible. I booked a rental car online through *************** in October for a trip in November to Orlando. I paid via credit card online in October when I booked the order. When I picked up the car in November, I was also charged (more than what the original charge was) for my car rental. I didn't realize until I got back from my vacation that I was charged twice for my rental. I brought the issue to Routes, *********** and *** ********* to try to resolve the issue online. All 3 gave a run around for months via email, asking for receipts and pointing the finger at the other for responsibility on the matter. Even after I provided all the proof of being charged separately by both Routes and ***********, each separately finally told me that I had agreed to upgrades (a sunpass for tolls, etc.) that they said amounted more than the original booking of the rental altogether, approximately $262. The car itself was fine when I rented, but customer service was absolutely dismissive and terrible when I brought my issue to them. I just want to have paid for only the service/ product that I received. I would have absolutely gone with another provider if the price was going to be more than double what I agreed to when booking. Please help.

Booked a truck rental online, confirmation showes the detail of the car which is a truck(commercial) also showes unlimited mileage. At the time of pick up they said it is not unlimited and I have to pay 0.20 per KM. *** ******** they want to get you in then add extra charges to make up for lowe rates.
I have documents to proof if need.

      Dear ****** ***********,
We apologies for the inconvenience caused to you. This is to let you know that we are not misleading any of our customers our policy has been mentioned on our website that all the commercial vehicle does not have unlimited mileage and is $0.20 per KM charge and i think the information that you have received this is from a 3rd party website and we have reached out to all of them and have informed them about our policy we back i am not sure why its reflecting the same but we will reachout to them again. We do not want any of our customers to go through this and our information mentioned is correct

This is not acceptable, you are resposible to ensure all those third companies follow your rules. your misleading advertisement caused me trouble and I had to pay a big penalty due not moving on time. On top of all this the store manager was rude and disrespectful, she told up to my face that she will ensure that I don't get a rental car that day from their location.

I found this business through Priceline while searching for a rental car. They are at the top list each time due to very cheap rates they offer as well as unlimited mileage and flexible cancellation policy. However, when we are picking up the car we were asked if were going out of state, which is the reason for the rental car. We were told by the rental agent she had to ask permission from her general manager because the fine is $1000 to take the car out of state. She took our insurance , texted her boss and was told immediately that we had to pay over $300. We were told its normally $1000 fine if we crossed another state. This is very misleading. There is no warning at all or disclaimer when I booked that the rental rate is only for instate use. This is a SCAM to lure people with their cheap rates then when you are there, impose a higher rate. Its good I had the option to walk away from their antic. I can just imagine those who have no option and had to **** it up and pay higher than advertised. I called other rental companies and they dont have that restriction like this company.

So disappointed. I was lied ** *** told I had to have insurance when in fact I didn’t. I have full coverage on my own vehicle. Tired after traveling, it’s midnight and the clerk told me I had to have it. When I read the fine print it in fact was not mandatory. They are trying to refuse a refund but I will keep fighting.

My $251 car rental turned into $600. Because I did not have a credit card in my own name (it was in my husband's name and approved by management prior to my arrival) I was told that in order to rent a vehicle, I would have to sign up for ALL of the available insurance coverage even though I had insurance through my own company. I was not given the option to decline the insurance. And was told that if they accepted my husband's credit card, I was required to accept their insurance. After a miserably long day of travel and with other car companies already closed, I would have been out of luck. The car I was given, was damaged with scratches and dings all over the exterior. The instrument panel was unviewable due to some sort of condensation within the inner panel. The car shimmied and rattled, pulling to the right the entire time I drove it. I was constantly getting warnings of an open door, low tire pressure, parking brake on so forth. When I returned home and ran the **** I saw that the vehicle had been in multiple accidents, including a fire! I contacted their corporate office after returning the car a FULL day early due to all of the above. Corporate instructed me that I had agreed willingly to all of the insurance additions and would not be refunded in any way. ******** *******. My first time renting from them and my last time. I do not recommend them.

I rented a car from routes in August 2022. Unfortunately, a deer collided with our car causing minor damage. Routes charged my credit card $1850 without my permission for that amount. The Personal insurance company paid Routes instead of the policy holder for the repair. So Routes was paid twice (once by me and once by my insurance policy)! This should be a very simple matter to sort out but after dozens of phone calls and emails and 4 months of trying to get a conversation with anyone at Routes who can actually do something to resolve the matter I am told to just keep waiting. Extremely frustrating. I now plan to show up at their headquarters in person to get the issue resolved.

There's one credit card machine for the three terminals that the associates use... So get ready to stand in line for 35 mins at least. If you attempt to decline their insurance which is $24.99/day they will tell you that they need proof that your insurance policy covers rentals. They won't call your insurance company, they will make you call you insurance company. The car I rented was dirty and was badly in need of a front end alignment. Upon returning my rental I produced text messages I had with my insurance company to get the cost of the insurance refunded. I was told that only the manager can issue refunds and he wouldn't be here till sheet my flight home left...I was directed to the corporate number. I called the corporate number and received a message telling me to email them. I've emailed them for the last two days and still they haven't responded. I called the location I received from today and the manager told me that they have to verify the insurance and not me but that doesn't matter because you only have 24hrs to ask for a refund, even if you have a 5 day rental. None the less, I opened a case with the consumer protection agency in Georgia. Do not rent here, the entire business is a shake down.

Absolutely chaos right off the bat. ** *** *** **** ****** *******. Even though their prices appear low, they hit you with every extra possible. Then we had a problem and the **** we rented locked up on us. We had to be towed, could not get anyone to answer at the rental company. NO CUSTOMER service available whatsoever. So there we were in the middle of Colorado with a locked up rental ****, had to pay $250 tow, then $240 cab ride from Leadville, CO to Denver because there are no rental places or **** or any way out of Leadville other than a very kind woman that is the only cab in Leadville.

My $200 car rental turned into $407.00. Was never told of extra charges. A $8.99 per day out of state fee and a $24.99 per day insurance fee. I was not given the option to accept or decline the insurance. The car I had, had damage on one side, was not clean on the inside, I had trouble with the tires needing air all the time the electronics in the car were all screwed up. I was constantly getting warnings of an open door, low tire pressure, parking brake on so forth. Not happy at all. The Manager was a jerk and gave me no help at all. Told me I should have read their policy, which I could never find. Horrible company. My first time renting from them and my last time. I do not recommend them.
