      What seemed like a good deal got more expensive at every turn surcharges and extra fees. Do not recommend. The front end staff was friendly but they are out to get every extra penny they can.

      Cars broke down, no one answered. We finally got them dropped off and 2 hours later they responded. Told us the price would be 319, ended up being over $600.00. Worse company ever!!!!!

      Scammers! I returned a Jeep when I went to ******** with my son! I returned it without a scratch and I ended up getting charged $1,500 for damages! There were no whatsoever!

      This is the absolute worse car rental company ever. The representatives lie to the customers and have them sitting around. I booked my reservation through Expedia on 8/30/2022. My card was charged immediately $53. When I got to Routes on 8/30/2022 at 10:30om, a young lady (with a Jamaican accent, and a black gentleman were going back and for about a mid-sized car. Even after I presented them with the Itinerary # that was given to me by Expedia, Routes refused to rent me the mid-sized car that I had booked and reserved and stated that I would have to get my refund from Expedia.After arriving home the next day, I spoke to Expedia and filed a complaint. Expedia in tern conducted an investigation.Expedia stated that they advocated with Routes on my behalf, however, Routes declined to refund my $53, citing that the decided to follow the terms and conditions of the booking an not issue a refund. This is truly unacceptable. I am not sure what terms and conditions they are speaking of and why they refused me a rental and refused to refund my $53.This is the most awful rental car place ever. It is not my intent to stop with just this complaint.

      Routes Car Rental has been an absolute nightmare to deal with. We prepaid for our rental car through Expedia but Routes charged us an additional $22+ per day plus we were coerced into paying for other unnecessary charges. They also charged us for a $20 parking ticket plus $50 admin fee even after showing receipts that we paid for the parking. They refuse to talk to you on the phone so all correspondence is done by email with a different person responding each time and each response takes at least 48 business hours to receive. We've been requesting documentation and receipts for all charges for over three weeks as of writing this review and we still don't know anything more about the charges than we did three weeks ago. I highly recommend steering clear of this company at all costs. My review is honestly a ZERO star-rating, but BBB forces me to select at least one.

      We parked our 2022****** ***** here for a week. We came back to it severely dented and lost keys. We picked our car up at 1 am in the morning and it was dark outside so we didnt notice the dents until the morning. We called and the told us its not their problem and that we should have check the car before we left. They lost my husband's work keys and told us it happens.

      ** *** **** **** **** ******** Should be investigated for false advertisement! Picked car up in Denver today front end damaged along with a cracked window half way across the windshield! When I rented this ****, I didn't know I was paying for a car that would be in this condition. Called Routes and you have to leave a message. No one available to talk.

      An absolute scam. Rented me a car with 3 of the 4 tires being below the Colorado legal tread depth. Colorado has a lot of twisty, uphill roads and it does rain. The car was unsafe. When driving to my destination, I noticed the car felt weird when driving, so I checked the tires. From then on, I did not drive the car and had to rely on family in the area. I spent the next 4 days trying to contact Routes. They have no local phone number, the corporate office couldn't get the local office on the phone and they don't respond to email. I was forced to just drive the car back to return it and got absolutely no help. I didn't even want to drive it back to the airport. I have small children and felt unsafe but they left me no choice at all. I still can't get them to respond to anything.

      Horrible experience with the Montreal branch! I got there an hour before my reservation time, and they didn't have any cars available. Waited until closing time, and then the staff just started closing everything and when I approached them, told me I was out of luck, and if I wanted a refund I'd have to do it through the company I made the reservation with (Expedia). Even Claudio, the manager, was nowhere to be seen (staff told me he had left earlier) even after promising to solve my problems! Now, Expedia is trying to help me get a refund, but they tell me no one on Routes side picks the phone to confirm the issues! ***** ******** *** **** **** *** * ********* ********

      **************** are two words that this company doesn't believe in. What it does believe in is giving out a car to a customer that was filthy, needed paint and body work, and barely had a half tank of gas in it. They also don't bother to tell you that their shuttle doesn't pick up at the airport at the area that is designated for off site car rental company shuttles to pick up at. All they did was supply me with a phone number to call upon arrival. When I called I tried to explain to the very rude person that answered the phone where I was. She had no clue or how to direct me where to go. This company isn't allowed to pick up at the airport so you have to first walk all the way over to where you can catch a train that goes to the car rental center. (That's were the legitimate car rental companies are, NOT this one). Then you have to wait around for their shuttle to finally show up to take you to their remote location. Funny thing though they charge you all kinds of crazy fees and taxes as if they really were in the car rental center inside the airport which is probably illegal. I booked through Priceline and had never heard of this company before and would never EVER use them again as they are totally UNPROFESSIONAL and a COMPLETE RIPOFF that rents subpar cars.
