      ** * ***** ***** * **** ** **** **** **** ****** * ****** I wish that I had referenced the BBB, before beginning services with Hometurf due to their inappropriate billing practices. * **** **** *********** ******* ****** ** ***** ****** ** *******  I had sold my home and my service had not been renewed, *** **** ** ** ******* *** **** ***** ** **** **** ***** Hometurf had automatically renewed, and delivered services not requested. Following cancellation, I've had numerous threatening and stressful phone calls for collections for a service I had not requested.
      In discussion with Hometurf, they claim they're within their rights to do so. And that they'll discount what I owe them. Unbelievable.
      SUCH A POOR BUSINESS PRACTICE AND * ********** CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. CONSUMER RIGHTS ARE NOT CONSIDERED.
      I will never provide any favourable recommendations for Hometurf due to their practices. * **** **** ** *** *** ** ****** ***** *** **** *** ** ********* ******** ********** **** ** ***** **** ****** **** *********** *** *** ** ********* ** ******** **** ****

      I have been using Hometurf Lawn Care for about 5 years now. I put my house up for sale in Oct 2024 and therefore did not want their services anymore. I was receiving numerous emails about renewing my contract. I ignored their messages and deleted them, thinking that was sufficient, If I did not respond to their constant messages then no renewal, right ? WRONG. In Spring 2025, their technicians started showing up at my house to service my lawn, each time I stopped them telling them I did not want their service anymore as my house was up for sale, and I did not want to waste my money. But the technicians kept coming, and I would go out and tell them each time, I did not want the lawn serviced. The last time they turned up was in June 2025, and I did not notice until a day after that the technician had placed a sign around the corner of my lot, where there are no windows or doors, saying "Lawn serviced by Hometurf Lawn Care". *** ****** ** This way that technician obviously gets paid for servicing the lawn. ***** ********* *** *** ***********They will do anything to get money out of you. So I ended up calling them in June 2025 to tell them to stop sending technicians around, I was not going to pay for the technicians that came around in the Spring 2025 on 3-4 separate occasions because I had stopped them before they even started servicing the lawn. Then they said they would erase the bill . Then I received a call from Hometurf on June 23, 2025 saying that I would owe half the bill totaling $ 109.87 and if I don't pay , it goes to collections. But I stopped them from servicing the lawn and yet they still want some money. When I did not respond to their emails for renewal, that should be quite clear that I did not want their services, but obviously the lawn service technicians did not pass along the conversations I had with them ******* **** ***** ****** ** ** ****. Nowhere in their invoices / emails I received does it say calling them to cancel.

      I used to like Hometurf until last year. They did not complete the last fertilizer and when i called them to check they said it is too late. This year the audacity of them charging for a service when by backdoor was locked and also they auto renewed it without my consent and charging me for the spring fertilizer. This certainly is poor customer service.

      I ordered the new mosquito package about a month ago from Hometurfs manager *******. The pricing was amazing for the quality of the product completed so far. I was skeptical in the beginning as I have a large pool in my backyard and questioned the effectiveness of the treatment. ***** came out to complete the 1st application and I am in complete shock at how effective this has been. Pool parties, BBQs, firepit parties have been so much more enjoyable! I have not seen 1 mosquito *** Thank you HT *******, ***** and the magical mosquito spray you saved my yard! Canada day will be an amazingly bug free celebration ??

      Home turf Lawn Care provides Terrible service when they do show up. They only serviced 1/3 of my lawn. They did not go in the backyard or service the side yard. They are cheap but still not worth it.

      The lawn service is poor. I have got more weeds than I had earlier especially the flower bed. Also I had taken a package for a year. But apparently the service is auto renewal if we don't cancel it. so had to pay additional 200$ to cancel it. ** ** ******* **** *** *** ********* *** ********

      At the start of the season Hometurf came and applied fertilizer to my lawn without my consent. I did not want them to treat my lawn this year (2024) and did not realize that if you had them provide lawn service last year you had to notify them that you did not want it done this year. Upon their 1st service I contacted them and said I did not want their service for 2024 and that I would not pay them for a service that I did not sign up for.
      Ever since I have been receiving emails telling me about my outstanding account. Each time I have explained through email that I did not consent to the application/service. At this point I feel I am being harassed by Hometurf. I refuse to pay for the application because I did not consent to it.

      I have been charged twice now for services that were never completed. We have cameras on our property so we know when someone shows up. We received post-service invoices for something that apparently happened when no one actually showed up. When I called the first time to ask why, it sounded like a call center in India. No apology, just someone saying they will reschedule the service. A month later and still no one has come back. This past Friday we received another invoice saying that someone came and did work. Again, no one actually showed up to do anything. **** ** ****** Contacting this company has gotten no results.

      Terrible service. ******** *********. Our lawn got progressively worse. They tried to ***** me into another year of service and only agreed to cancel when I left a ******** ****** review, which I will not amend because every word of what I said was true. ***** ****** *** *** ******* ***** ** *** ******

      Absolutely horrible service and horrible customer service.
      The kids that they have doing it are not doing this company justice.
      They do not do their job.
      I have property cameras and they say that they do it .
      Takes literally three minutes and that is with putting the bill in the front door.
      My lawn had never looked so terrible.
      I had to call every time they came and said they applied a service and the same story someone will be back and never came. * ***** ***** ********* **** *****
