Yes they give you a loan, however at a LARGE COST to the consumer. You will never ever get the loan paid unless you file bankruptcy or consumer proposal. 1 starTheir representatives send incorrect dates on emails, which in turn causes errors and loss of funds for customers. They don't seem to have any consequences for this. After thoroughly reviewing the account, we found that the customer had a total of three loans with easyfinancial Services (EFS). Each loan was funded promptly, either within a day or just a few hours after the application process began. The applications were submitted for the customer's signature only once, and upon signing, the respective loans were funded.
We have made multiple attempts to contact the customer to gain a clearer understanding of their concerns. Unfortunately, we have not received any response or follow-up communication from the customer.

1 starTotal amount Loan should have costed:
$5500.00 x 46.96% = $2582.80
$5500.00 + $2582.80 = $8082.80
What it actually costs:
$5500.00 x 46.96% = $2582.80
x 5? = $12, 914.00
+ $5500.00
= $18, 414.00
Where did that 5 come from that they multiplied $2582.80 by? Well it represents the 5 years of the Loan when I originally planed to pay off in 12 months or less considering I was under the assumption I was only paying $8082.80 in TOTAL.
They added on an insurance plan that I denied and refused, however I did accept their "Credit Build" product which didn't do anything, credit was 720 then, it's 639 now. TOTAL I'm owing $19,200. Absurd.
It's sounds like contract arbitrage which isn't illegal, however the way it's structured at GoEasy seems ******* or ******* considering they won't disclose all the concerns you have, even the sum amount owed. They will breach contract by adding products you refuse....They will send you to a rep who will then lock you into a contract not represented by the original agreements that were spoken about with their other sister company.
It seems, instead of being in the business of lending loans, *************, *************** or GoEasy will also profit from Mark Up prices on interest rate spreads between banks and lenders, and is why keep the spread max high by giving you 46.96-49% interest even if you have mazing credit. I don't think they ever give out products under 42% even though they advertise 9.99%-49.99%.
I asked customer service rep "what service does go easy provide?" and they responded "we offer products to struggling families and people interested in building their credit and resolving their financial issues". ****. We are mad.
Is a loan even being to serviced to me? Seems like loan is serviced to sister company, and then I'm left off with the ***** arbitraged contract that assumes total and full Liability now for all of the ******* math and **** that they rely on upon conception of "Loan", T&C's or other binding contracts.goeasy Ltd

54 months, and the 46.96% interest rate is an annual rate. The total obligation
stated in your loan agreement is only applicable if the loan is kept for the
full term. You are not required to pay total obligation amount listed in the agreement
if you choose to make an early payoff.

Easyfinancial would
like to address the customer's concerns and the importance of misunderstanding
that may have occurred during the course of processing the new loan.
Upon reviewing the
customer's complaint, we have considered refinancing the loan to include the
loan protection plan as requested. However, it's important to note that this
addition would increase the customer's contractual payment by $25.00 and extend
the loan term to 54 months.
During our initial
conversations, the customer emphasized the importance of maintaining a payment
amount that does not exceed $100.00. As we always prioritize our customers'
ability to manage their payments, adding any of the three ancillary services
would unfortunately raise the loan amount beyond the customer's stated budget.

1 starEasy Finacial took 2 payments out of my account 3 days early. One for $1006 and one for $906. I sent them a screen shot of my bank account showing the 2 payments being taken. I now have no money to survive for the month as they say I need to prove how much overdraft I have and that I need a banking statement which doesn’t come out for over a week. They can see the 2 payments but are refusing to e-transfer the $906 back into my account. I honestly don’t know what to do. *** ****** *****goeasy Ltd

The payments processed were already in transit at the time of increasing the
loan. Upon reviewing the account, the customer and Easyfinancial are working together
to come to an amicable solution. We would be happy to refund the payment, we
would just need a banking statement to show the payment has cleared on the
customers to expedite the process, otherwise, we would need to wait 10 business
days for the payment to clear.

1 starGot 2 loans never late on a payment. Go in for a 3rd loan with better credit history 10 months later and these people charge twice the interest as previous loan and because i said no the guy told me i wasted his time and to get out.

I had to go to a Consumer Proposal because the interest rate was insane & I ended up being 3 months behind in rent. I have nothing left to give. These staff ****** me via email & several phone numbers even while in Consumer Proposal. I’m now seeking stress leave from work because of their ***** ********** & ******** tactics. They care less about people & more about grabbing money. interest rate and terms. Our interest rates for unsecured loans range from
29.99% to 46.96%, and the rate is determined by multiple factors such as credit
history, income, etc. We want to ensure that we are transparent with our
customers, and to show that, we have all the terms of the loan on the first
page of the agreement. Our staff is trained to breakdown the process of loan
approval, and with the customer's consent, we proceed further.
When an account becomes past due, easyfinancial would
attempt to contact the customer to make arrangements to the account to help
bring the account to a good standing.

I reiterate - I acknowledged that I was in a Consumer Proposal and was contacted via email, phone & text to pay up. I had requested help prior to this from your staff & received a brief email to pay more then interests would go down.
No suggestions - just told y pay more.
I also had to dig to get a loan breakdown since nothing is ever sent out n a monthly basis as other loans are done. That was painful! And I received a silly kindergarten email showing the breakdown.

Plus I never received receipts. The only time was when I had to beg for a breakdown.
Lastly, ****** ********* supposedly is not affiliated, yet I was transferred to them. I gave paid a huge amount for getting $750 back & after realized I was duped. When you’re tired & down , it’s easier t be duped & used.
Now that I’m in a consumer proposal, I’ve lost whatever I poured my hard earned money into that place.
So - no - I disagree with this response completely.
