      We have been contributing for almost 5 years now with knowledge first financial/embark. We didn't receive any communication regarding the recent migration of accounts. We only found out because we went to check the online account as our June contribution didn't go through. Not sure if suddenly the contributions have stopped. We have no access to the statements on this account so not sure what is happening with our money. When we try to schedule an appointment it says not available all through July or August. All the hard earned money we have contributed so far and no idea what's happening with it. When we call the number on website, it says high call volumes. Not sure how to get in touch.

      Terrible customer service! Will not return phone calls, emails or chat responses. Took over a year to receive an answer about an extra grant we applied for and finally found out it was never done. They keep saying "they're in a transition period so things are busy". ******* at returning calls, helping or responding. The first "account handler" they assigned us left the company and no one mentioned that to us. The second "account handler" also left and we were not notified. Now I'm being told that they do not have reps anymore and it's just a general team. **** *****

      I've been in contact with many of your "reps" and this problem has been ongoing for almost 2 years. I finally requested a manager call me back last week and had another customer rep contact me because "embark doesn't have managers, just a service team".

      Knowledge first/Embark is not a good value for investing in your child's education. So far my contributions have been eaten up by their exorbitant sales charges in the 1+ years that I have contributed. They have changed their name a number of times it seems. I have sent an email asking how to transfer my funds out of their institution. We will see how that goes. ***** ** *** ********** ********* ** ********* ************* **** ******

      ****** ** ********** * **** ****** *** **** **** **** **** ******** I invested with them when they were called Knowledge first financial. they have now changed our plans without giving us a choice. before changing the plans they increased the transfer out fees to $210+tx to dissuade people from jumping ship. Now they are making more changes to consolidate all our childrens funds into one family plan.
      over the past few years that we have been with them, our Reps have kept changing yet they took out 9.9% of our total estimated fund's worth up front to pay these reps their fee

      I will never go with them again, their slow at sending my cheque in the mail and they never bothered to get a mail tracking #. Terrible service.

      Embark is impossible to deal with. They do not answer questions or give information about plans when it is requested. I have made at least 10 attempts to get a simple EAP letter from them and months later I have not received the correct information. Also they take there fees upfront before they apply for the grant which means your plans do not utilize all the grant money available. It has been over 20 years of frustration and aggravation.

      Charged an 84% sales fee on my discontinued account for my child even though I was promised just about my full investment for a return. **** ********** ********. No supervisor has contacted me to correct or explain this mysterious charge. Extremely upset and dumbfounded

      ******** ******** Trying to get money back paid in 31 years ago. 3 kids paid for in family group plan. 3rd child finished university now and didn’t get payments as promised (EAP’s) Company likes to use confusing jargon and told me if we wanted money back we had to fill out forms when they were 13, 19, 22 etc. They said that I could make appeal but after waiting about another year they tell me appeal not successful. *** ** **** ** *** *** **** **** *********** Online format doesnt work either. They like to send emails and have a revolving staff of ill-informed people who hang up in you and no one seems to be in charge. * **** **** ******* ** **** ******** ******* *** ***** ** ** ***** ******* ** *******

      I continue to get emails from Embark but no one does anything to fix the problems that I have encountered throughout the years and have been told so many different things about my money that I believe was held for my family’s use. When my 3rd daughter finally got some EAP’s I thought the money would continue to help her. After she finished school I found she had received little assistance. She was told that she received all the money but she had received only a small portion and it is impossible to see what is grant money and what is our money which was invested on our children’s behalves

      **** *** *** ****** I had a plan with Knowledge First that got bought out by Embark, so who knows how long Embark will be around. I can't get the rest of my money from them but they keep saying I have some, and continuously send me email after email after I told them to keep it and unsubscribed. **** ** ***** *********** You can't contact these people. They don't listen. All they want is your money and in some cases the conditions to get it back are impossible. The plans are in my kids name since becoming adults so I can't access it but they keep sending ME the emails and postal mailouts. ***** *** **** ***** ** **** *************** *** ****** **** *** ***** **** ****** ** ******
