    CAUTION: DO NOT DO BUSINESS with this company or its owner ******* ****** ******. Sure the website & FaceBook page - with notation of being '********' approved, customer reviews & pictures of past jobs are impressive. And he presents a profession a business proposal - all fair & legit looking - requiring an upfront deposit to secure the job; & a verbal commitment with reasonable dates for starting & completion. However one month after starting the job, we were called to his home (a beautiful new build) for a meeting, where he shared he was having personal issues due to a marital separation, was short of funds, and asked for earlier than scheduled advance(s) so he could secure the trades. We provided 1/2 of his request and insisted the work be completed as agreed before we would pay any additional advances. Work very SLOWLY advanced - with the need for us to be constantly involved - making calls & hounding the contractor for the trade work & labour to done as agreed.
    To make a long story short - the situation went from bad to worse. 5 months after start date - trades started to contact us - saying they haven't been paid, his only two dependable labourers quit after being locked out of (another) job site, and we have had to buy the balance of materials & pay additional labour costs needed to complete the reno. And now one trade has threatened a lien on our home - meaning we will have to seek legal action to end this nightmare.
