    On March 12, 2023 I had major water damage, from our hot water tank. TD insurance hired their preferred contractor BELFOR to assess the damages It took a week May 19 and multiple emails, phone calls to hear that my file was misplaced and not assigned to anyone as of yet. By this time my whole house was starting to smell musty from the wet carpet.On March 19th, I finally had a Project Manager assigned. He showed up to my place once. He told me, its a small job will be done quickly. However, that quickly turned into the project manager falling off the face of the earth. Did not return phone calls, text messages or emails. I contact Belfor to hear he quit and my file was not reassigned yet. Eventually in early June I received a message to go pick out flooring. When I went to their supplier I heard that the project manager had NOT quit! Dealing with Belfor has been a nightmare. Not once have I had consistent information. When you call, you are told you will receive a phone call that day, that doesnt happen. It has basically been a full-time job for me trying to get my repairs done. The Belfor team is very unorganized, left hand doesnt know what the right hand is doing. Would not recommend using this company. Finally the work has begun. I received a phone call from the Project Manager who I have not heard from for months telling me he would be going to the flooring company that day and would call me back, again have not heard from him. He also has not put the deposit on my flooring which the flooring company has been asking for a month now. So this again will delay my repairs.All I want is a schedule when my work will be done, my house is in upheaval, I have been paying insurance for 35 years now, never made a claim before. After this experience hope I never have to go through insurance again. Disappointing.
