We used First Rate for our move after hearing several positive reviews from friends, and we weren't disappointed. **** gave a full (and accurate) explanation of the costs and process up front, and the moving crew (***, **** and ******) were incredibly efficient and helpful on the day of the move, completing the whole process in an impressive amount of time while keeping all furniture and other items protected and organized on arrival. The company's great reputation is entirely earned, they're easily worth the price, and we would happily use them again or recommend them for anyone else.

The First Rate Movers team is very professional. This is the second time I've used them (once in ****** and one *******-****** move). They have been on time, as well as very courteous and careful in the house. The estimates provided are very accurate and the team is often faster than expected. Having moved seven times in roughly fourteen years, I can attest to the quality and expertise First Rate Movers brings to the table - especially when compared to other companies we've dealt with. In our experience with them, there's only ever been one hitch, and they made a point of rectifying the issue immediately and to our complete satisfactionone of the benefits of working with a fully insured, honest, and ethical company.Furthermore, not only have their estimates been bang on for the three last moves we had with them, but their level of organization and attention to detail cannot be beaten. And all of that at market-competitive rates. What more could you ask for?Simply put, First Rate Movers not only live up to their name, but in my opinion, they are without equal. They are the only option for us, and I don't see that ever changing.Do you want pros? Look no further. Do you want a great price and exceptional overall value? They're your guys. And lastly, if anything does go sideways, do you want a company that will take care of you? You bet. First Rate Movers were excellent. They paid attention and care to our belongings and did a great job of taking things apart and ensuring all the little pieces made it to the new home safely. The team lead during the move was professional and explained everything up front and was happy to answer any questions. They also have a fantastic insurance policy that is built into their rate which is competitive. I'd highly recommend to anyone looking to move a large home and stay within the minimum time use their services. All in all, a wonderful experience. First Rate Movers are the best moving company I've ever hired, and I've used professional movers for eight moves. From the first inquiry to get general information all the way to the post-move contact to ensure I was fully satisfied, I was impressed. Their rates are competitive, fair and reasonable. The on-line booking request system is slick and helpful (great tips for packing and moving day preparation) and they were in regular communication before move day to confirm that everything was going well. The moving team was highly efficient, speedy but careful, knowledgeable (about breaking down furniture), professional, and friendly; the service was wonderful, and all three of the movers had a great attitude, ensuring I was satisfied and finding humour in stressful moments (related to property access). Everything went according to my expectations, and these days if the customer gets what they expected that definitely makes the business first rate; and since my expectations were exceeded, my rating for this company is exceptional!First Rate Movers Ottawa

**** and his team were great, they always had our best interest in mind. They were the only movers we could find who could hoist the sofa over the balcony and there was an extra surcharge for the same. But ****'s team tried their best (and succeeded) to avoid the hoisting fee and move the sofa using the narrow stariway. They were great and really quick and managed to stick to the minimum time agreed even though we went over the number of boxes quoted. I would highly recommend them.First Rate Movers Ottawa

From start to finish, working with FirstRate Movers was an outstanding experience. Connecting with **** with was an absolute pleasurehe patiently answered all of my questions, was extremely polite, professional, humorous + such a delight to chat with. The crewWes, ****, and Andrewwere AMAZING! These gentlemen treated my belongings with such care and made my move post-separation so much less stressful than I thought it would be. They worked with unbelievable efficiency, checked in with me for my input throughout the move + were so very kind. We used First rate movers while doing a home Reno project. They were very professional movers that took care to package, move and store our furniture while the **** was completed.
