Purchased a 2016 ***** ****** ** **** on December 2020 from a KIA dealership in Niagara Falls Canada and it has a VIN of * ****************. Upon looking over the vehicle it was noted that a new Starter had been installed as it was listed in the documentation I received with the car as well it could be noticed when looking under the hood at the time as it was shiny and clean. During my several test drives there was absolutely no issue with the car starting until after I was the owner and had taken possession of the car. It was roughly 3 weeks to a month later that I would start getting the grinding noise when the car would attempt to be started. Fast forward to today and it is now grinding 3-6 times each time we try and start the car. When I finally took it into ***** I was told by a mechanic that the issue can only be fixed by replacing the flywheel and the starter yet again and the price to do so was $3100.00 + tax. Started to research this issue on the Internet and found that this year and model ****** had been identified as having this issue as well as several other issues that are being taken care of by ***** (Driver running light assemblies being replaced under extended warranty) for both the headlight's on the car. *** ******* I purchased this at the start of the Pandemic I was unable to get it into a garage at that time as everything shut down so I could NOT find out if this was a warranty covered issue. Once the economy opened up again and I was able to go to the ***** dealership again is when I found out about the repair needed to fix this issue once and for all. I decided to reach out to ***** Canada ** * ***** ** ********* ******** **** I just learned about how to fix this issue at this time and was hoping they could cover this issue in full or work with me to maybe pay 50% and I cover 50%. The ***** Canada Case number for my initial email to them is ********. * ****** ****** ****** ** *** **** ** * **** ** ***** *** ****** **** **** ****
