      I contacted C.S.T. Savings multiple times over the course of the past two years, most recently in September 2024. The company has never addressed my complaints/concerns/questions. The Case number for my most recent outreach I believe is Case #*******. My complaint is as follows: I was sold an RESP product without sufficient education/explanation from the sales team who mislead me to believe that the fees and charges associated with the product was far less than what was ultimately taken from my contributions to the plan. I am seeking full reimbursement of these fees and charges and the return of the funds I've contributed or alternatively the transfer of those funds to another RESP.

      I have Invested over $30000 between to funds for my daughter and have been rejected multiple times to withdraw money the investment is worth over $67000 they have used the excuse that the paper work needed to say registered not enrolled which at ******* ******* which I work at only gives you after tuition is payed a couple weeks before class start which means you have to pay out of pocket which is *** printed on there brochure that you will have the needed money to enrol in the school. The next rejection was I was asking for to much money and that they only can give up to 8000 for the first year which is never stated in any brochure. The latest rejection to payment is my wife's signature does not match the one on file from 18 years ago

      With tons of information, about there saving plan with out much time for thinking. gives run around answers for questions. Delays canceling when you finally have the time to realize what they got you to invest in. And continue to take payments after requested cancelations.       CST consultants and the time of dealing with the company directly (person to person),
      I was never informed of their 'procedure' of proof of enrolment and/or transcript within a limited time of starting or finishing school. all transcripts were submitted. The last submitted transcript was beyond their time frame which thanks to the governmental/college changes of ability to access college transcripts was received 6 weeks or longer after the request we put in, beyond our control, and was not excepted by CST once recieved but told we will have to start from the beginning once again regarding application for receiving our funds, while 3 other previous transcripts were provided proving enrolment, atendence and successful completion.
      CST requested proof of enrolment, again when requested from the college the response from the college administration was, they do not provide these anymore. Again beyond our control. I also had promptly informed them of the delay we were going to have regarding the last transcript and the unattainable proof of enrolment.
      Regarding emails , the consultant I was dealing with at CST, all responses received by them disappeared from my email feed leaving me with just my side of the conversation, once providing the late final transcript I know longer was dealing with the consultant that requested this last transcript who had stated will release the funds once received, I now was dealing with a new consultant with the response, we must start from the beginning.

      Yet another unhappy customer of CST- *** ***** ***** ******* ** *** **** **** *** *** ********* * ***** ****** *** * ****** ********* ** *** we were reached out to by CST because we checked off a box on a ******** form, as we were interested in education savings for our son. A representative from CST contacted us, and we decided to start up with them as we were sold something that was completely a ***; and in our opinion, ****** ** ******** 
      We were with CST for about 9 months, in that time we tried numerous times to add funds to our son's account; only to be met with road blocks of not being able to provide account numbers, and in order to provide an account number they required a contribution PLUS a service fee (which was over half the contribution). Then the account number would come MONTHS later. Just absolute nonsense. We got fed up right away and decided we were going to transfer our RESP over to our own bank so we could have better autonomy over the money we are saving for our son.

      Herein lies our main complaint- 95% of our contributions is now considered a 'service fee' upon closing the account. So overall we put near 1,700CAD into our son's RESP with CST, when we transferred to *** they only deemed around 300CAD to be transferable back (The Federal Government Grant) and essentially kept our entire contribution citing various service fees.

      CST Savings consultant reassured me that I could decrease my contributions. I have attempted twice to decrease the amount although CST Savings had stated I will not be reimbursed, even a prorated amount, for the sales fee (that I was initially led to believe was a tax) and that if I decreased my units, it would also decrease the amount of interest earned to date (even though that’s based on the amount I have contributed) and the entire $2,200 for the sales charge. My daughter had since been diagnosed with autism, although we started her RESP when she was 6 months old, and may not attend school. When exploring family options so both my kids could access the contributions, I was informed I would still lose $1,980 for the sales charge and only $220 would be transferred to the new plan. I am requesting the refund amojnt of $1100 if my daughter was an able-bodied student with post-secondary as a goal and for the release of my RESP to another company.

      Contacted by CST Savings, when my son was only one month old, I believe that they got this information from affiliate sites where I had gotten coupons for baby items. * *** ** *** ***** ** ********** ********** **** *** ****** ****** *** ******** *********** * *** *** **** ** **** ********* ********* ** *** ***** *** *** ** **** ******** **** ** **** **** ****** ** **** **** ** **** ** ****** * ***** ** * *** ****** ** * *** *** **** ***** ******* ******* **** **** *** **** ******* **** ***** ****** ** **** **** *** ** **** * ** ******** * ** * *** *** * ***** *** ****** ** *** **** **** **** ***** in February 2024 I took the statement from Cst Savings to my bank because I wanted to open a second RESP account for my daughter who was born in October 2023. To my shock I discovered that I had paid over $2700 worth of fees to CST out of all my contributions and they planned on taking over $1000 more in fees from my future contributions. I only have less than $1000 showing as a principal balance in my son’s account. **** ** ******** ********* *** **** ***** ** ********** ******** ** **** **** ****** **** ****** ********* ******* ** ***** ****** *********** I called CST Savings immediately to try and stop any further contributions and get them to keep my quote “refundable fees“ but change my plans so that I would not need to contribute to them anymore and so that I wouldn’t lose more money to fees that don’t help me at all. They informed me that 50% of my fees would be refunded at the end of the contract date if I stayed with CST. Therefore, I asked them to set up some paperwork to transfer me into a non-contributing account and I would stay with CST and not pay them anymore fees so that I could keep that refundable amount. The paperwork came back and they took away the refundable amount because I changed the plan that I was enrolled in ***** **** ********* **** ** ** *****. I want the fees reversed and put back into my sons RESP, which I will transfer to ***. ********.

      CST has basically refused to pay my Son's RESP money to him. He is a full time student at the University of ******* in ********, *******. WE have filled out all the forms sent them in, called them, followed up with them, emailed them and its a different excuse everytime. They also take 2 weeks to even respond to your requests which my son has passed his due dates for all his payments due. They are absolutely terrible to deal with. The principle payments AKA, "investment" we made over the years of the plan actually were less then we paid them. The fees far surpassed any money they made for my son. We are still fighting trying to get my sons money transferred. This as been going on for over 5 months now.

      We invested with Canadian Scholarship Trust Plan and are trying to get the money out for my son's tuition but they will only give us small portions of our investmetn at a time. We depened on it to pay his tution for the first couple of years and we can't get it, even though it's our money!
