I registered with World Financial Group (WFG) and paid a $157.50 CAD registration fee on 29th May,2025. Shortly after signing up, I decided not to continue and wanted to request a refund. I have not accessed any services, training, or materials from WFG.
I initially connected with a recruiter who told me she would just show me a presentation. However, the conversation led to me unexpectedly paying $157.50. I wasn’t clearly told what I was paying for or what the commitment was. I felt pressured and misled into registering.
Additionally, I later found out that the application was submitted with a signature on my behalf — I did not personally sign it, and this concerns me. I have tried reaching out to the recruiter several times to discuss a refund, but she has not been answering my calls.
Since I haven’t received any service or support, and considering how the process was handled, I believe I should be refunded in full. I would appreciate BBB’s assistance in resolving this issue.Business Response

On August 9th I signed up to be a member of WFG ** * ****** *** ***** ** ***; with a fee of $172.46 for business license, we went through the process of signing me up for the business license number and was informed there is a email I'd receive in a couple hours to days with my business license number. But after a few hours, I asked them to cancel it and refund. The next day I received an email from World Financial Group with a code. I instantly reached out and asked to cancel and get my refund. I have been asking for refund but they told me they're sorry no refunds. I am within the 10 day remorse period as this happened on August 9th.Business Response

I started deal with this group on 29th of April 2024 when I paid them 169.50 cad as they promised if I get the license for life insurance via their company sponsorship they will let me work with them .
Actually what happened in the last exam I took for the certificate before applying to the provincial exam . I took a photo of exam questions that was pretended as **** as my boss said to me .
They refused to continue with me and they have been paid to continue with them . Actually I did not cheat on the exam but I took photos of questions to review it after exam I thought it was allowed but it is not
I need a refund my money ** **** **** * ** * ******* *** ******* * They did not wait to ask me what happened.

I am rejecting this response because:They tried by this answer to solve it without giving the full refunds.
Actually , the wfg company is not requested to refund only 169.50 cad, they are requested to refund in addition to that amount another 224.87 cad + 22.60 cad that I paid to ****** ******** via the wfg .
So the total amounts requested 169.50+224.87+22.60=416.90cad
IF I violated the exam rules, they could just cancel that exam not all the exams I have already passed and also they prevented me to continue with them which is not needed from my side ******** ***** ***** *** **** ***** , the ****** ******** prevented me from learning resources which I paid for .

On November 23, I found a lady (*********) who invited me to attend a conference at ******* *** ** ******, *** ******* ***** , ******** **** and she said it was Government funded mainly intended for New Comers to Canada. She asked me if I could invite friends but did not have friends available to attend. She concealed much of the information. My day was busy with work but because she kept on insisting that it was an exciting opportunity great for New comers, I should attend even if for a bit. I made it to the conference but did not hear the entire presentation which was to her advantage. She took advantage of this and signed me up saying this is how you register for the business. She kept on concealing a lot of information and did tell me that each step requires payment. After paying registration, she then requested that I have to pay more money to access their training materials . I was not comfortable with paying additional costs. I told her that she should tell me all costs and fees required for me to decide whether this is for me or not. I'm just frustrated and want a refund of my registration because she keeps giving me misleading information and I feel scammed. I told her that I want to close my account, she told me they will not refund my registration. I need a refund because this agent did not tell me that I was registering for a ******* business. I have moved from WFG to different provider and they told me that I had a debt due to WFG of 914$ and there is no one to constancy any number u called doesn’t let u go further Because u are not a part of WFG anymore.
