In June 2023 I purchased an undercounter freezer from OMNI Food Equipment. Within a year, around June 6th, an issue was detected. The freezer was no longer maintaining its temperature and was warming up. I emailed OMNI on the 6th advising them to which I was informed that I needed a diagnostic report from a refrigeration company. After much research and finding someone who works with the specific refrigerant, I was able to get the diagnostic. On August 18th I sent the report which indicated that the circuit board was no longer good and needed replacing. I followed up on my email with a call where I spoke with ****, the owner, with whom I had been in contact, and he informed me that he would look into finding a replacement circuit board to send to me and that they would pay for the replacement cost.
After emailing the report, I was able to speak with **** almost immediately, August 21st, where we made the arrangement for the replacement. After our conversation on the 21st, my follow-up calls went nowhere* * *** ******* ***** ******** I continued to call several times a week over several months. In February I began sending emails and calling for answers. My last email was in March.
I tried calling several times again to no avail.
The freezer came to $2173.49 (tax in), the report was $662.18 (tax in). As I am not in the area and could not bring the freezer for them to assess, I had to pay for the report.
I purchased a prep fridge ($1711.20 - tax in), as well as other items, although no issues. Primarily, I am looking to have these two items (freezer and prep fridge) returned and fully re-imbursed, the cost of the diagnostic report refunded, and compensation for the inconveniences of not having a freezer.

Purchased a 3 door fridge from Omni with a 1 year warranty. It's very poorly made, one of the doors fell right off - We can prop the door on the fridge however when it's not sealed properly the fan does not turn on making it not usable. i purchased a food warmer from omni on 9/30/2023. not even a week later the lightbulb in the warmer stopped worker. i brought it back they kept it for almost three weeks, i called and emailed them and kept getting the run around. i directly decided to go to the store, they had me walking around they're warehouse trying to find the warmer, when they did they showed me it was fixed, but the warmer was not even mine. they finally found my warmer that they did not even fix for three weeks. after a few weeks the electrical circuit at bottom broke. i returned it on Thursday Nov 30th and up to now i still have not received it back. i emailed twice and called twice, they keep telling me they will call me back and never do. * ** *** *** * ***** ** **** ******* ***** ** ** ***** ******** ** *** ***** *** ******* **** **** *** *****Initial Complaint

- April 28, 2023, we purchased a ********** ****** glass-front freezer. It came with a 1-year parts & labour warranty.
- On or about August 15, 2023, a burn mark in the frame was noticed. The freezer was turned off, as it was a fire hazard.
- August 22, 2023, OMNI was advised by email that the freezer had a burn mark and that the freezer was turned off. Photographs of the burned freezer and receipt were provided. We asked about the next steps. No response by OMNI.
- Followed up on August 25, 2023. No response.
- We called OMNI on August 29, 2023. They asked that we forward the photographs and receipt again, which we did the same day.
- August 29, 2023, we followed up.
- August 31, 2023 at 9:04 am, OMNI responded asking for our order number. At 9:18 am, the receipt was re-sent. At 9:55 am, OMNI asked for our address and advised that a tech would come out. This information was provided by us at 10:22 am. No response.
- We followed up by email on September 5, September 15 & October 12. No response.
- October 17, 2023 we called OMNI and asked for Joe, who was not available. On October 17th at 11:58 am, OMNI emailed back asking for our address again. At 12:56 pm, we provided our address again.
- October 24, 2023, called OMNI and spoke with Joe. He advised it was a third party technician and that he'd advise the technician that this was a priority.
- October 31, 2023, advised we required a full refund or technician visit by the end of the week or we would be reporting the freezer to the regulatory body. Technician never attended.
- November 1, 2023 at 10:36 am, OMNI emailed asking for order number again. We responded at 10:51 a.m. with our receipt & a photograph of the damage.
- November 5, 2023, we followed up again.
- November 15, 2023, a technician attended. The technician advised he would recommend replacing the freezer.
- November 26 and December 5, 2023, we followed up and did not hear back.Initial Complaint

Jan 13 2023 I purchased a ********** ****** Single Door 23" Wide Display Refrigerator for $959.99. Order #****. It was out of stock and I picked it up Apr 6 2023
The warranty was 1 years parts and labour.

The refrigerator has not been maintaining the proper temperature.
Oct 4 2023 I contacted the sales department and they instructed me to email the service department and request service.
Since that date I have sent several emails with no response. I have called the company several times.
They tell me that my messages are being received and that the service department is a separate entity and they are asking them to return my messages. I have asked to speak with the owner and they will not transfer my call saying that he is aware of the situation. I've asked what they suggest I do and they keep telling me to just keep emailing the service department and there is nothing else they can do. I've asked for a name or other way to contact the service department and they will not provide one.

Currently having issues with a refrigeration company. My business purchased brand new commercial fridges this summer from them. A control board is not functioning properly and they are refusing to warranty or send out a repair tech. I’ve been trying to get them to resolve this since the fridges were purchased in may with no luck. They say they are going to call back and have a technician come out that week and they never call. When I told them I wanted to exchange the fridge they laughed at me and said no. These fridges were not cheap. I believe our order is around $15,000. Any advice or guidance would be appreciated. Thank you.
