      Business sold a product that needed to be returned, and when returned with proof of purchase (receipt), was denied a refund. Asked where that policy was and employee said on the receipt. Being that they have a hidden return policy only made available after purchase, not a policy exist in the store, available to customer.

      I went shopping at rue21 on December 18th 2024 at 6:30 p.m. I purchased four t-shirts at the price of $10 each. The total should have been $40, but it came out to $41.60 ,because I was charged $1.60 in ****** county sales tax. ****** county stopped charging sales tax on clothing under $150 in 2023. I mentioned this to the cashier and he shrugged his shoulders. I spoke to the manager and she said there's nothing she can do about it and that's just the way it is. * ***** ******* **** **** ******** ******** ** charge people tax that is not in accordance with the county guidelines

      $200 on a gift card that's not supposed to ever expire and now we can't use it anywhere not even online because they're filing bankruptcy and closing their stores

      Due to the bankruptcy of the former rue21, we are unfortunately unable to honor the balance on gift cards from the previous company.

      As a new company under a different ownership, we are unable to transfer or redeem those gift cards. However, as a gesture of goodwill we would like to offer you a one-time 20% discount when visiting one of our new locations. Simply hand in your gift card at checkout to receive the offer.

      I am rejecting this response because: a 20% off well there's a big difference between getting 20% off and a gift card that's $200. The gift card doesn't have a balance left on it the gift card was simply never used. The gift card states that there is no expiration date. It's unfortunate that the business is going bankrupt however it is not the responsibility of the people who purchase gift cards there. That card should still be worth it's $200. So who answers it when it says right on it there's no expiration date. And you know you don't have to rush and you're guaranteed that you can use it anytime, I didn't make that guarantee, but that guarantee is written on the card even. And it certainly has nothing to do with me I would think that the people who are taking over the business would be responsible for the baggage that comes with it. At any rate it certainly not my responsibility. *** ***** ** * *** ** *** ** ****** **** ***** ***** *** *** * ***** **** *** ***** ******* ** ***** ** *** ** **** ** ** ***** ** ****** So what if it if it isn't their responsibility then who's responsibility is it?because I'm out a big chunk of money and 20% off a purchase isn't going to help me with that.

      Thank you for reaching out to us. I understand your concern regarding the gift card you purchased for the previous rue21 business. However, I'd like to clarify that while we now operate under the name "rue21," we are not the same company that went out of business. We only acquired the rights to use the rue21 name, but we are a different entity, and have nothing to do with the gift cards issued by the former company.  We are aware that in some states, if the gift card was paid for with a credit card, you can contact your credit card company.. In some cases, consumer protection laws may qualify you for a full refund.  I hope his may be of some help. 

      Again, we are truly sorry that we could not assist further in this matter.

      I shopped at this store a few times and made a few purchases that I took home and decided to return. No where when I was shopping in store was told that the sales are final and that there are no returns. No signage, and the sales associate also did not let me know. I was even checked out by a manager who also failed to let me know. When I came back to return my items I was told I would get back a gift card as they only make store credits, and said that a sales associate should have told me this when I purchased, which they did not. As my only option to take the store credit, I emailed the customer service of this retailer and asked for some help as I am disappointed in how I was misled as a customer. They have directed the store to contact me via email and I still have not heard back, it has been several weeks.

      Purchased 2 $50 rue21 gift cards ($100) from ****** 3/24 , *** ** ******** ********* nothing was stated they were going out of business. The store at ********* Mall soon closed for remodeling. They are open now and told me the cards can not be used. Call a phone number and very rude response from girl that answered. She told us nothing can be done. I want a refund or in store credit.

However, this purchase did not include responsibility for any debts or obligations incurred by the previous owners. That said, we would love to invite you to visit one of our newly reopened rue21 stores! As a gesture of goodwill, we’d be happy to offer you a 20% discount on a one time purchase in exchange for any gift cards you bring in.

      If you purchased your gift cards with a credit card, you may have recourse through your credit card company, depending on the laws of your state.

      My issue is I was charged twice for one item. The card machine did not want to print the first time and the workers could not figure it out and called a higher up, the higher up said that since the charge was pending in my bank statement it would not go through. So the cashier told me to do it again. The next day both transactions were taken out of my bank. This incident occurred on 09/13/2024. The first transaction was at 4:43pm and the second was at 4:53pm. Each transaction for the price of $10.84.

      I placed an online order for Bluenotes merchandise on July 7, 2024. Due to the order value ($189.74) I selected the option of free 48 hour shipping. I received an email on July 8 indicating that my order had been shipped, and that if I had chosen 48 hour shipping, I would receive a separate email from ***** within 48 hrs. By July 12 I had not received an email from ***** and had not received the package, so I followed up with the customer service email and received an auto response that I would receive a personal response within/up to 2 business days. By July 17 I still hadn't received any correspondence and followed up again. On July 19 I received an email indicating that Customer Service had reached out to their warehouse and courier. No update by July 23 so I followed up again. On July 24, received email indicating that "due to the order taking longer than we anticipated, we will be issuing you a refund for your order". I responded same day asking for more information and to confirm that none of the ordered items would be shipped. As of August 2, no response to last email and no refund has been issued. I tried calling customer service phone numbers today and received no answer from the one phone number, and a customer service representative at another number indicated that I should just email again, and that there was no phone number for online orders for customer service. I indicated that I would like to speak with someone given the lack of/delay in response to my emails, but was just told that there was no phone number for customer service for online orders.

      Hi, i was given 2 $25.00 Rue 21 gift cards as a gift and they have went out of business! What can i do with these gift cards? Is there any way to get them redeemed? Or anywhere else that is accepting rue 21 gift cards?

      My order number is ******** which i placed on the company’s website on February 9th as a valentines day present. However the order never got delivered to me. Upon checking the tracking i noticed that the order was delivered somewhere else.
      I contacted the company who failed to understand even though i provided them a picture of my door. They kept on sending me the same information again and again.
      At this point of time, i want my money back.
