    Menard Heating & Cooling installed a new furnace and a/c unit at my property at *** ******** **** ****** in July/August 2014. The contract for the new HVAC system included a 10 year warranty on parts and labour.
    The contractor completed an annual service on the furnace in January 2022 and discovered that the gas valve was not operating correctly. The technician concluded that the gas valve will need to be replaced and possibly the control board.
    I have emailed the company numerous times requesting an update on when the repairs will be completed (see attached) as well as called the office and left messages. I have not received a response to my emails or phone calls.
    Now that the winter season has arrived it is important that this repair be completed asap.

Please send our apologies to the client, as we did have this call on our radar but with higher-than-normal calls the last few months we have pushed back non-urgent requests. This however has been pending for way too long and we will resolve ASAP. We will order the part and contact the client right away to schedule a time. We normally respond to all calls and emails and for this we apologize once more.

    I have reviewed the response made by the business in reference to complaint ID 18414772, and find that this resolution is satisfactory to me if Menard Heating follows through on its commitment to complete the work in a timely matter.

    Note that the defective gas valve restricts the operation of the furnace to 40% capacity, therefore, with significantly colder temperatures expected in the coming months, time is of the essence.
