    In March 2024 we ordered a shed after meeting their representatives at a home show. They promised it would be built by the summer as they were backlogged. What followed was nearly a year of unanswered text messages and phone calls followed by a single response promising to either show up in the morning or call us later. Of course, they never showed up or called us and then the pattern of radio silence followed by an empty promise would continue. Finally, in October I emailed them in order to cancel the shed order. We no longer needed it, chasing them had become exhausting and frankly I no longer trusted them to meet any of their commitments. There remained the issue of our deposit which we paid at the home show. After a month of more chasing through text, phone and email, I finally received a response from the owner blaming the entire thing on one of his underlings and promising to get this underling on the refund. Of course that refund never happened and then radio silence. 9 text messages later and I finally got a response in January telling me that this employee of his would call us to "sort things out". I have responded since saying that I do not want a phone call, I want my deposit refunded.This has been extremely aggravating and has moved from being embarrassing and unprofessional to downright unethical. We spoke with another couple who did business with them and they had to essentially go down there and yell at them to get results. Frankly, I'm tired of chasing these people and would like some help if it's *********** me it is very simple: I cancelled the job request because they weren't meeting their commitments, eventually the owner committed over text to refunding our deposit, and now I wish to collect. Anything you can do to help would be appreciated. I am tired of being manipulated by these people.Thanks again!*****

    Hi,

    Thank you for following through on this complaint. Thankfully Bennka Sheds did get back to us and refunded our initial deposit (finally). It took nearly a year, but I think us utilising the BBB served as a catalyst. 

    At this point, this file can be closed.
