    (I) Date of transaction: (a) July 29, 2022. Men in Trucks Ottawa was contracted to moving furniture and household items from our old home at *** ********* **** ******** ** to ****** ******* ******* on *** ****** ***** ******** **. (b) August 26, 2022. Moving furniture and household items from ****** ******* *******, ******* above to new home at *** ********** **** ******* **. Total moving cost with tax=$2847.
    (II) Problem: Men in Truck movers were so rough they seriously damaged our top quality 8-chair extendable dinning table (solid Mohogany wood); in fact one of the supporting leg was broken off and lost during the move and is not replaceable. Our magnificent grand-father's clock was damaged with key part lost and it customer's personal properties. The movers were all aware of these damages as they told me that the company has insurance no longer works. The movers also cracked the solid wood legs of our two fancy glass-top coffee tables but put together precariously to make them look undamaged. Nearly all our bedside and coach side lamp tables with cabinet and dressers were badly scratched. Our sofa bed was twisted/distorted and in no longer functioning properly. One reclining sofa chair had it's handle broke off and we have not been able to find a suitable replacement. Our TV was also internally damaged with coarse vertical lines showing on TV when we turn it on to watch and is annoying. In all, the movers were not properly trained and were lack of concern for coverage and I could ask for compensation. The owner/manager of Men in Trucks, named ******* (only know his first name) were also aware of all these problems as we complained right during and after the moves. In fact he came to see the damages and have said he would request insurance coverage. I have asked for a meager $2500 for compensation but he has stopped replying to my emails or phone calls. Before taking him to court I would like to file this complain with ***.
