  Snowbusters Ottawa complete fail at snow removal and honoring terms and condition contained in snow contract. I made one of two payments for the season in November. I should have had a sense of how things would go when they installed snow markers for my driveway at the wrong property. I relocated them myself. First snow fall- no show despite reporting on line and providing pictures to confirm status. No response from Snowbusters. Cleared driveway myself. Second snow fall, no show despite reporting on line with pictures to confirm my driveway remained snow filled. Again, no response from Snowbusters. I cleared driveway and proceeded to cancel snow contract via email with supporting docs resulting in a reply to my email. Next day, I showed up to Snowbusters office with snow markers. I expected a portion of my snow payment to be reimbursed immediately but understood i would likely need to absorb some penalty in cost. I was advised I would be reimbursed for $ 66 from the $279.68 partial payment and receive a cheque in March 2025 which was 4 months away. I asked Snowbusters if they had a cash flow issue and stated that with any contract cancellation, the consumer must be reimbursed within 15 days of the cancellation. i also noted their business practices were considered gauging as they had done nothing to earn the right to keep the lion's share of the partial payment. I left their office without cash reimbursement. I followed up at the end of March 2025 to request cash reimbursement. They mailed a cheque for $ 66 at end of March 2025, which bounced. Apr 19 -etransfer was made to my account for $ ***** owing and recovered due to my persistance . There is no mechanism in place for consumers to report residential snow contractors who fail to meet terms and conditions detailed in snow contract. Warning: do not use Snowbusters Ottawa for their total disregard for better business practices, (gauging customer) zero accountability to deliver snow removal services.

  This is the worst snow company with the worst service ever. They show up late all the timesometimes dont show up at all. This is how they save on gas. Other companys show up during and after the storm. They dont respond to emails. crickets. I can not believe there still in service. Their service is UNACCEPTABLE. DO yourselves a huge favor and look to other snow companys. Im a 93 years old client who couldnt leave their home several times this winter for fear of falling so had to call my son over to shovel my driveway many times over. I gave them numerous chances over the years to improve but sadly this year has been pathetic. STRONGLY DO NOT RECOMMEND THEM.

  -10 Stars. This company is the worst. They need multiple emails to remind them to remove snow. They do a TERRIBLE job removing the snow, if they even show up. WOULD NOT RECOMEND. ASK YOUR 94 year old blind grandfather to shovel. He will do a way better job.

  I received an email asking if I wanted to renew my contract with Snowbusters, and I simply cannot believe this company is still in business. I assumed from the terrible customer service last year that they had every intention of going bankrupt. Do not waste your money on this company- they are absolutely awful and should not be in business! We had to shovel ourselves out of every snowstorm last year because it took them so long to come, if they even showed up at all. Every storm they would email us with excuses- our tractor broke because the snow is too heavy, wet, etc., or it's all the city's fault, but they never provided an apology for the terrible service. They do not respond to email complaints, except the standard line saying that they do not tolerate bullying when you simply email them to say that their service is completely unacceptable.

  After 7 years with them, via shared driveway contract with my neighbours, during this spring's "Early Bird Special" to lock-in a price for the 2023-24 season, they claim that the price is now double what we had been paying for the last 7 years, with normal/regular, reasonable increases for inflation. I paid the half deposit thinking it was for both sides of the shared driveway only to be told that I had paid for one side! Discussed it with the neighbours and we agreed the service was definitely not worth double the price. Asked for my money back. They agreed via email to etransfer the money back, but after multiple requests for the money, they've gone silent. Want my early bird special money back.

  Poor service throughout the season. Very mismanaged communications. I have contacted the company to let them know that I was contacting and filing with Consumer Protection Ontario and they said that "If you are dissatisfied with how we operated then we urge you to look elsewhere for your future snow clearing requirements as to say that we have not serviced you would be a lie. I would also like to say that we have a zero tolerance for verbal abuse and do not take threats lightly."Yikes. I would stay away and seek out your rights via ********************************************************************

  Takes them hours to do our driveway. Sometimes 16 to 24 hours. Clearly they cant handle all the customers they signed up

  This company is unreliable after being my second year with them I thought this year would be different but I guess not. After the big snowfalls before Christmas ************ never came to do one pass over and was stuck in my house the whole day after calling them multiple times and no responses and seeing emails that they sent out saying they are doing a second passes at other residents. They didnt come until the next day at 8am and I missed a family memorial mass. The next snowfall again nobody showed up until later in the day before the deep freeze after calling them and them checking there systems and telling me my driveway was done which I clearly wasnt so once again last on the route. Dont know how their rotation works but always seem to be last. The third snowfall I just did it myself and emailed them and told them not to bother. *** sent multiple emails for the owner to call me back but they dont care about the clients and havent received a call back.

  They were great in 2021 but this year (2022) the service is horrific !!It has been ************************************************************************************************************************************************ showing up. Every Snowbuster client on our entire street is that way and I am assuming the whole area. To top things off, it is Christmas Eve and we have running around to do like most people and we CAN'T get out of our driveway.
