    09-19-2024 Took my GMC 1500 pick-up truck in for a TSB repair under GM warranty witch call for vacuum pump replacement, this dealer told me that it was a sensor which cost me ******. I purchased the sensor tool my truck home put on sensor which was very easy. break problem still not fixed. I called butler service ***** the gentlemen said bring it back we will check it again and fix it if it is something else and you will be charged to diagnose your truck again. This dealer was told i need a vacuum pump they told me it had been replaced before ,i took it to another dealer and they said no it had never been replaced. my pump was replaced, and my breaks work great. I spent 3 weeks going over this with ********* not a thing they will do. All aim asking is for my ****** Dianostic charge returned. Butler miss diagnosed my truck and do not want to admit it .i have paperwork to prove the other dealer checked and repaired my break issue. These dealers take advantage of people charging for something that does not get fixed and want to charge people again and again to have a repair figured out. I am mechanically inclined and i have a master GM mechanic in the family. I do not like to be tried to be taken advantage of. Thank you. ***** ******

    We offered this consumer a $144 credit toward replacing sensor and he wouldn't have to pay for the the diagnostic.  He has declined to come back for the service. There is no expiration on the offer.

    As i stated i was not offered ****** credit i was told to bring it back they would put in the sensor. And if they found anything else i would be charged a dianostic charge again.The point is i sent you the proof that they missdiagnosed my truck in witch i did pay for and in stall mybself the sensor. I did tell them about the tsb on my ******** witch they told me it was not my vacume pump and it had been already replaced. I took it to another dealer and they replaced the vacume pump witch had never been replaced as Butler GM said it was. All i want is my dianostic charge reembursed to me for there mistake . As i said i sent you there findings and the other ** dealers. If they think i will just go away its not happing .next step is a lawer thank you

    I am rejecting this response because:

    As i said i told you about the *** on my truck all you offered me after you siad it was the sensor and i bought it and put it in and it did not work was to bring it back we will check it. Again and if it is something else yes you would be charges a dianostic charge again. The point is you missdianoised my truck from the start  told me the vacume pumb had been replaced else were .with was incorrect and i sent you proof it was never changed . All i want is my dianostic charge returned to me . This is a poor way to do business . I wont go away on this matter nor will i ever come back

    Well just what i figured the business do not offer me anything except to relook at my truck . And i am sure theybwould have found something else .as i stated i proved there negligence by charging me for something i did not need . And i have proven they miss diagnosed  my truck had then done the job correctly the first time we would not be at this point . Small claims cort is next Thanks for your help

    I purchased my vehicle from Butlers, purchased my winter tires and rims with the agreement that free tire swap every year is included. I booked in today for oil change and tire swap. I received an email from Butlers that stated the owner decided to charge everybody for the tire swap this year. I contacted the manager and he said ******* ****** made the decision. To me, this is blatant false advertising. The managers fix is to do mine free this year but I pay next year. That was not the agreement and they are doing this to hundreds of people. The silly part is I will need new tires in a year or two, likely close to 2,000 dollars and the odds of me spending my money here are zilch if they continue with this ****.
    Looking forward to hearing from you and would appreciate directions to any government source that may need to be involved if they don't honor their agreement.

    In response to Mr. ********* concern, I will say this. I have reviewed the offer from years ago, and it was never advertised in the dealership, it was something offered by past management. That said in the interest of customer satisfaction I will continue to provide Mr. ******** with no charge seasonal tire changes. I hope this is a satisfactory resolution. Also if Mr. ******** has an offer in writing from time of purchase, that states lifetime tire changeovers, I would really appreciate having a copy of this.
