    I am extremely unhappy with CAA and the way my claim is being handled. I would think that after ****** ** *** ** a car accident due to a medical episode that there would be some compassion and a quick resolution to my claim would be a priority. Not the case. We are entering the third month of this claim and it's been almost one month since I was told I would be hearing from someone regarding compensation after the car was deemed a total loss. You would hope that your insurance company would try their best to provide an excellent experience but with CAA that is NOT the case.

    I had a flood in my basement and had to file a claim. From the onset of working with CAA, there was a lack of communication. I went through 5 adjusters as well as communication to the Ombudsperson with little progress. Furthermore, there were inaccuracies with the company contracted by CAA in restoring my basement. This resulted in $6000 in repair not being covered. The adjuster would not communicate with the contractor that I chose to allow support for my additional expenses due to the damage. * ***** ******** ********* ** *********** ********* ********

    Great when you are purchasing a plan. Service is terrible if you make a claim. Very unhelpful and not responsive. You will be stuck in a loop or in limbo. ******** ** ** ********** ** **********

    CAA Car Insurance Claim No: A000xxxxxx-xx
    A car electrical heavy rain damage claim done on the phone on 2023-10-13. The agent who took the information from me (Diana P.) was very courteous and professional. She sent me an email confirming the claim number, name of the adjuster (Alyssia T.) assigned to the claim and an appraisal of the damage to be done at the garage in the week following the claim in Windsor, Ontario (where my car still there for over a month).
    2023-10-02 4:45 p.m. I received a phone call from the adjuster Alyssia saying;
    Quote
    " I don't have good news for you, CAA won't be covering the wiring harness water damage for your vehicle; when we conducted a Carfax check with your car VIN, we (CAA) found out that your car has been in a flood in 2019 according to a repair garage report (which is not true).
    My reply to her (the adjuster):" My car has NEVER been in a flood, and I requested to provide me with the Carfax, name of the repair garage she is talking about!
    She (the Adjuster) asked me if she can put me on hold for a couple minutes to check, I replied: Sure!
    After I waited for almost 5 minutes on the phone for her to get back to me with the name of the repair garage; she got back saying; Hello, Hello, I answered Hello then she said Hello, Hello again (she was pretending that she can't hear me) then she hang up the phone. SIMPLY SHE HAD NO ANSWER BECAUSE MY CAR NERVER BEEN IN A FLOOD AND THERE IS NO SUCH A CLAIMED REPAIR GARAGE.
    The adjuster didn't attempt to call me back, and I never heard back from CAA since then, **** ******** ************* *** **************.
    I emailed the adjuster on 2023-11-03 requesting her to provide me with a copy of the Carfax and the name of the repair garage she mentioned on the phone, and I left a voice mail to call me back, I never heard back from her or from CAA regarding my claim.
    2023 -11-08 I I bought a CARFAX PEPORT online (of course there is no NO TRUTH of what CAA adjuster mentioned).

    CAA CAR INSURANCE is more stressful then the accident it self.
    I was hit, (it was well established that it was not my fault) and my car was deemed a right off by CAA.
    I was left stranded with no car and not knowing what is happening with the replacement of my car due to my adjuster taking 7 days to contact me, she finally concluded it was not my fault and I could have a rental car.
    I inquired about care for my neck and shoulders as I was having pain and headaches from being jolted in the accident.
    Due to having my own benefits they were not going to cover any massage or chiropractor needs.
    So I'm to drain my personal benefits, recovery from this accident and have nothing left later in the year.
    * ******** *********
    Then I had to wait another 7 days to receive an appraisal quote from another adjuster. The quote was for $5700. To replace my ****** ***** ** Sports model 2009 with 180000 km, it was quoted by dealerships, in the price range of $11000 to $12000 taxes and certifications included.
    It is a special edition and I was not able to find comparable.
    For a lesser model, 2008 and more km the comparable were $8000. and up, not including taxes and certification.
    I continued to negotiate for an appropriate amount. My adjuster went up to $7300. Including taxes and a $500. I time offer. ** ** ** *** ***** ** **** ********* *****.
    It is not even close to the amount that is required to replace my car.
    I had to return the rental car yesterday and they are now assigning the negotiations to the next level process.
    They continue to delay again and again the appropriate costumer care and service, so I can get back on the road and continue with my day to day life.
    I'm left stranded again with no car and no money to replace my car.

    Worst claims department in the insurance industry.
    Been over a month since my accident, and still no claims representative has contacted us regarding our claim.
    To talk to the claims department it is a wait of 1 to 2 hours. Then you are connected to a phone message that is never returned. Their concern for their customers is disputable.
    They are one of the cheaper providers, but there is a reason for that. No customer service whatsoever.

    *** ** *** ***** ********* ******* ***** ****** ****** ** **** ******* ** ***** ********* ******** *** *********** I have been with CAA for a number of years and have made 2 claims on my house insurance both for leaks in my home. The first claim was for around 5k and the 2nd was for around 10k. I had payouts on both of the claims which were years apart from each other. After the 2nd claim happened in 2022, they paid out and all seemed well until we got a registered letter that we had to sign and pick up saying that they were cancelling our insurance on the renewal date in 2023, as we were labelled a risk. Without any call or discussion about the claim from the adjuster, CAA made the decision to cancel our insurance because we made 2 claims in 10 years. I think this just defeats the purpose of having insurance and CAA is punishing clients for making more than one claim on their home by cancelling their insurance. CAA cancelling our insurance was only half of the problems because its easy to use an insurance broker to find new insurance however, when other insurance companies look you up in their system, they can see that a company cancelled your insurance and can see how many claims you made in the past which makes you an undesirable customer and makes insurance companies turn away from wanting you a new client. CAA should be ashamed of what they are doing to customers and I am writing this complaint to let other potential customers know about CAA and what they are doing to people. ****** ** *** *** ******** ***** ***** **** *** ******* ** ***** ***** ******************* ******* ** *** **** *** *** **** ****** *** I* * ***** **** **** * ***** * ***** *** *** ******* ***** *****

    Been a CAA Roadside customer since 1995. My Insurance company moved me over to them a few years back because of the cheaper rates and frankly I never gave it a thought.
    Shame on me...................................
    Today I received a letter from CAA Insurance informing me that my insurance was cancelled because they couldn't confirm my membership status with CAA Roadside. 1st time I became aware that I had to be a member of roadside to get their insurance (******** * ***** I would have liked to have known that little detail.)
    Get's better though. I am in fact a member in good standing. (easy to validate, I simply called for roadside service and asked them what my status was. (Premier member in good standing.)
    Next step, called CAA Insurance who basically told me it wasn't their problem even though they sent the letter. Satisfaction ratio? ZERO I pointed out that CAA Roadside Service had no problem with my membership and the number on their letter was correct. Response, Not our problem. No interest, no involvement, a complete trainwreck.
    Next up called my Insurance Company and have been on hold for 1hr15min so far. They were bought out a year or so ago and I think good customer service left with the previous owners.
