1 starWe chose this company because they said delivery in 10–14 days, which was important since we were moving with babies. Instead, it took 42 days. The movers showed up a day early with only 1 hour’s notice, and then charged us $50 per box to finish packing our things. Once our belongings were picked up, communication stopped. We had no updates, and the company seemed unsure where our items even were. To make things worse, we were forced to pay the full bill halfway through the move, and it ended up being much higher than the original quote. When our things finally arrived, we were extremely disappointed. Our new table and cribs were unwrapped and heavily damaged, our TV box and dining table had water damage, and the movers dropped our dishes during delivery. We asked about filing a damage claim and were told we didn’t qualify because our shipment “didn’t weigh enough.” Throughout the entire process, the communication was poor, and we felt completely misled and taken advantage of. I would absolutely NOT recommend this company to anyone. Save yourself the stress, damage, and hidden costs.Review fromFortunata I

1 starNot reliable at all They promised to come for pick up my belongings on Saturday at 10am, but they didn't. When I called, they didn't answer and a few minutes later they sent me an email and said that they truck had a mechanical problem and couldn't come. Can't imagine how much it was stressful because I had to be in Ottawa for the first day of my work. I called everywhere but couldn't find anything. Finally after two hours we managed to find a truck for the next day and I had to pay twice for movers. That was the worst experience I have ever had! **** **** *** *****************************************************Review fromRyan M

1 starLost my things, incredibly late, no communication/no sympathy Pegasus in Greek myth is a swift flying that sprang from the blood of Medusa and flew off with the hero Persius. Yet pegasus van line is neither swift, nor heroic. A few days, maybe even a week late, I could understand but they arrived 15 days late. There was no offer of recompense to reimburse me for alternative sleeping arrangements or to cover the half a months rent I had paid to have the space open for deliver. The day the did arrive they were seven hours later then they said they would be- and refused to take my boxes up the stairs without an additional charge, somehow this never came up until the evening they arrived. They also arrived with one broken picture frame they had boxed in addition to missing several boxes along with a missing piece of furniture. The cost of replacing the items missing is likely around 1800 dollars Canadian, I know that I'm not getting all that back, but they then deliberately chose to treat all my furniture and items as lost "boxed items" in a bid to keep the payout below the deductible cost. The whole time rather then keeping me informed they just plowed past every conceivable deadline, and aimed to do nothing to redress the multiple and repeated failures to do their job. Through these repeated failures in communication, following the failures in doing their job, I remained incredibly patient and civil to everyone I talked to. Only got 1 star cause zero is not an option. I have never written a bad review of any company ever. This is how badly violated I feel. All in all Pegaus probably cost me 2500$ dollars in outside costs, and an untold amount of time filling out their claim sheets which they had no intention of doing good on. ** *** ***** **** ****** ** **** **** **** **** ********Review fromRamandeep K

1 starWe have moved 10 times within the country and this by far was the worst move ever. These guys only work for the company and are told what to do so they are not completely responsible. However, the guy we spoke to on the phone (Nick) assured us they were a professional company that knew what they were doing. Upon arrival at our destination we were told they would not release or unload our goods unless we paid first. They refused credit card payment and insisted on cash. I’m not sure this is even allowed, however, after a long stressful day we were anxious to wrap things ip. They charged us 4,000.00 for a local move (down the road) using a 25 foot truck. At no time were we made aware that this was their payment policy as well the amount we would have to pay. They absolutely gouged us with the boxes and didn’t even use them properly. Stuff was thrown in any old way not taking any care. Our guest room bedroom suite was damaged. There was no established price list for packing. The wardrobe boxes were filled with whatever and not used how they should have been. In short it was a mess and complete chaos when it came to us unpacking. ** *** *** **** ******** ** **** ******** ***** ** *** ********Review fromRyan T

1 starI cancelled prior to moving because I didn't like the level of service I received after paying a deposit. I just needed some questions answered and was ghosted. I got an instant response when I said I would like to cancel....was called entitled and told that the refundable deposit is no longer refundable.Review fromNicole H

1 starpicked up May 23rd in Edmonton AB. We were told they would arrive 10-14 days to Saint john NB. It wasn't until later that I realized they marked on the initial pick up manifest that 99% of our stuff was already "scratched, broken or chipped" - including pillows? ******* * **** ** ***** ** *** stating there is damage that was never there. We put an airtag in the shipment and watched it sit in Edmonton for 3 weeks and then sat in Toronto for another 4 weeks. Week after week we called and were given attitude by the staff, never apologized to once. The excuse was constantly "they missed the truck, we have more shipments then usual and then that "we're only sending it to a storage unit so it shouldn't matter". Then we get the bill , 8600$. Reporting we had over 8000lbs of things for a 2 bedroom home. We sold couches, and most heavy things to help bring costs down and there's no way to argue the weight. They THEN tell me they only take cash or e transfer, Nowhere does it ever say we can't pay with credit cards. My deposit was paid with credit card, but they clearly know that if you pay with credit card we could get money back. We had to buy all new crib and clothes for our baby during the wait. The shipment arrives, our furniture completely destroyed. Missing brand new sneakers clearly ripped out of a shoe rack, boxes saturated in water and shredded, mattress topper ripped and black in color, pictures destroyed. I still have half the storage unit to go through and I've found 3000$ worth of damage. Dressers scratched and broken, falling apart. I submit my claim as I only had 10 days and was told based off weight of 0.60 cents per lb in damage that we are actually in the negative and would only qualify for 70$ - but we will not even see that as it must be over 350$ to get reimbursement. I am beyond outraged, they continue not to apologize or show any remorse or care for anyone's belongings. **** *** *******Review fromAnn K

1 starI have no words for this nightmare experience!! We have moved long distances several times and have not had the damage, disrespect or lack of communication like we had with Nick G. and Pegasus Van Lines Inc. Because of good and reliable service in the past, I did not read reviews or research the company. The initial contact was Nick reaching out after we requested multiple movers info. He was quick to respond, sounded genuine, answered questions and sent a quote based on an average move for our situation. After e-transferring a $200 deposit, it was very difficult to get answers without requesting info ( for any and every question ) without several requests and then follow up phone calls. My son suggested I call and ask about the insurance deductible and Nick said there was NO DeDUCTIBLE.... we've just filed a claim for damages and have been advised there is no claim eligibility because we have a $350.00 deductible. ****. We were told the move from BC to Ontario would be a week and it was 2 weeks. There was damage on most items moved. We paid extra for picture boxes and TV box and expected safety for having it professionally packed. There were very few moving blankets. We have vintage and family heirloom furniture damaged. I took pictures and can prove the irresponsible and unprotected packaging , including our TV having the ironing board across the screen, which obivously will scratch. It did! We have pictures of a custom made white table glass top packed with 5 tempered glass shelves from a book case, jammed together in a box with absolutely nothing between any of the 6 glass pieces!!!! I have had 2 picture frames broken in another box and just paid $169 each for new glass. One authenticated Group of Seven has damage from shattered glass. I can go on and on. ** ** ************** * ***** ** ** **** ** ***** ********** *** **** *** **************** *** ****** ********* ** ***** these nightmares and irreplaceable damage. ******* **** *** **** **** * *** ****Review fromClaire S

Also, the total is not $4000 as first estimated but $9500. It will be agreed that you will send a picture of a bank draft for the remaining half as proof that you will pay their driver when they do deliver. 4) You will wait WEEKS living like a squatter in your new home sleeping on an air mattress. 5) You will try in vain to get answers, some assurity, that you will ever see your possessions again, but Nick will either not answer your calls, emails or texts, or he will HANG UP ON YOU when you call from a different number. 6) At last the day arrives probably a month or more later when the movers do actually arrive and deliver your stuff only to find that EVERY SINGLE piece of furniture has been scuffed, scraped, scratched, gouged, dented and dirtied. And to add insult to injury you were treated like garbage and YOU have just paid them nearly $10000.
