    On Feb 20 I bought a Airline ticket from ***Rewards******@************** using my collected rewards points and make an extra payment in credit card. The itinerary was Edmonton-Toronto-***** *****- Mumbai and back from Jan 29 2023 to Apr 1 2023. I reported to Ethiopian Airline on Feb 02 in ***** ***** that I will not be able to travel to Mumbai India due to lack of required Entry Visa. I requested the online visa and was refer to the local India consulate, that refer me back to the online office. Ethiopian Airline decided to cancel the return portion of the plane ticket through an reference email( available), I went to their office and I was told that there is routine procedure of cancelation if you do not go through the all itinerary. The ticket was nonrefundable but one Booking change permitted with fees of 300$. I was denied any accommodations or changes others and buying a new ticket for the exorbitant price of 3000$ US, I requested help and advice from my travel agent *** Rewards and had no success either with Ethiopian airline stating the same massage. I am actually back home in Edmonton after purchasing a new return ticket for the price of 1200$ as recommended by my travel agent. I have the cancellation email from Ethiopian airline even that their website still posting my return date as CONFIRMED* ****** ****** available. All they were after is more money and prices changing with the operators, *** rewards did not have better luck either. The 13 hours flight from Toronto to Addis was one of the best ever, but the locals sees you as a valet, They make my stay as ********** as possible without any plan of return day. The cancellation of the ticket was a different way to make more money.
