Called for their service to fix our refrigerator that was not working. The repair man said he fixed her refrigerator by putting Freon in it. However, it appears he didn’t check for leaks prior to putting Freon in a refrigerator. Before he left, he said a refrigerator would last another 5-6 years, however the refrigerator didn’t work past 5 to 6 days. We pay the invoice in full and of course they won’t speak with us now that they’ve taken her money. Companies like this you can’t talk to you on the phone. You need to speak to them via email or text so you have proof. Communication with this company was via text and they were completely absent when we told them about our issue and that the refrigerator died again on us. The only communication we received from them was constant badgering us to fill out a survey, which we did. Dear Better Business Bureau,
I am writing to file a formal complaint against Appliance Repair Experts, regarding a service request I initiated on October 29th. The details of my experience are as follows:
1. On October 29th, I contacted Appliance Repair Experts for a broken burner control switch on my cooker.
2. A technician was sent on October 30th for a diagnosis, and I was billed $207.40, purportedly half of the full job cost of $365.60.
3. Despite paying for half the job, the technician assured me that the repair would be completed by November 1st.
4. No communication was received until I followed up on November 15th via email. Customer service was unresponsive, claiming an overload of technicians.
5. After contacting customer service, the technician texted me on November 16th, promising to complete the job on November 20th.
6. Following the November 20th visit, the technician claimed his supplier sent the wrong part, leaving the job incomplete.
7. I received a partial refund of $80, with the remaining balance attributed to diagnostic charges, rendering the diagnosis useless without a completed repair.
8. Despite the failure to provide the agreed-upon service, Appliance Repair Experts refuses to honor a full refund.
I am seeking your assistance in addressing this matter promptly and ensuring that Appliance Repair Experts rectifies the situation by providing a full refund for the incomplete service. Your intervention is highly appreciated to resolve this issue and prevent other consumers from facing similar challenges.

Transaction happened in July over the course of about 10 days to get my dryer working. Appliance Repair Expert got the dryer working but failed to connect its vent back to the outside. I only realized what they did now as the dryer quit working because the element burnt out from overheating. This is very dangerous and can cause a fire. We called this company because our Microwave stopped working. This was on September 5th 2023. The technician came right to diagnose the problem. He came back with the part about a week or two later. Our ice maker stopped working and he ordered the part for it.
We paid for the whole thing to be fixed and he came back a month later with the wrong part.
We are still waiting for this part. He doesn't call us to let us know what is going on.
It is now November 13th and we are still waiting. My husband called the company and of course someone was supposed back to us but no one does.
I would like to have the money reimbursed so I can get this issue resolved.Initial Complaint

Had company come to check dryer. Part was required and was advised it would take 3-5 business days to arrive and repair. They required service call fee and parts deposit. Around July 12, 2023, I contacted Appliance Repair Experts to inquire about having a technician check out our stove. I asked about cost and which dates and times would be available. Agent told me first available date and time. I told him I would get back to him as I had to check with my wife to see if it would work. I NEVER booked an appointment. I called back after I checked with my wife, about 5-10 minutes and I informed him that date wouldn’t work and asked what other dates he had available. He insisted that I had to pay for the first appointment. I informed him I had not booked an appointment yet. He demanded I had to pay anyways. At this point I informed him that I would not be proceeding with his company and hung up. About an hour later I received an email showing they had booked an appointment time and date. They made up an appointment to make it look like I had booked! No appointment was booked by me! In Sept. I got a notice from a collection agency saying I owed $90 plus taxes to Appliance Repair Experts! I informed them that I was disputing the charges and that the company was never booked or did any work for me. This company seems to be committing *****. They took our money ($2500) to allegedly order parts for our dishwasher and our fridge. The parts were supposed to take 1-2 weeks. We chased them for months trying to book an appointment for them to actually do the repairs. Eventually they started booking appointments and then simply not showing up. When we would call their office, they would drop the call. Sept 18th a service call to fix a sto e. Charged 408.00. Fixed one burner order parts for another. I have called october 6, 12, 20. No one answers. Some called back first two times said repair would call with an update. Noone has called i can still get no answer on the phone and no response to parts i paid for or the revesal of call out fee against my bill which was promised in the a,ount of 129

We booked Appliance Repair Expert (******) online to fix our ** Washer. The technician arrived on Sep 25/23; looked over our machine and told us the motherboard was broken. He offered to see if they had a used motherboard ($100.57 + labour); or alternately a new motherboard ($350 + labour). We paid the Service Inspection Fee ($89 + tax) by ****. After a week, of no response, we contacted their customer service line in Mississauga (************). They said they would initiate an inquiry. No response. Multiple phone calls continued to the central customer service line, from both my wife and I; for two weeks, with no action or response. At one point we were escalated to "the manager". Again no response or action. Eventually I asked them to book an appointment to install a new motherboard, just to get our washing machine working again. No action. After a month trying, we are submitting this complaint to try to get our Inspection Fee refunded.

Needed my Washer repaired. They charged me $800 to fix it and when they came back they replaced the part but its still leaking when running. I asked them to come back and they were going to. They didn't show up so I callled. At that time they said I turned on the water (which I didn't and don't even know how to) and said we now have to pay $800 more to fix the motor. The motor works just fine. It's the machine that is leaking.
