January 11th 2023, I paid an insurance company $215 because they claimed I owed them money for services I didn’t even know I was getting. I insured the contents of my house though TD insurance for one year and paid them up front. At the end of the year *** ******** ****** **** **** ********** ** I did not want to renew it. I was not in any contact and did not agree or pay them to continue the coverage for longer then a year. According to them because it was Covid they did not end my coverage like they would usually do after two weeks of the one year I paid for. I have never dealt with an insurance company that would continue its coverage after the one year they just took it upon them selves to charge me even tho they did not have a credit card, they supposedly mailed me the bill, and after a certain period of time they never received payment got a collections agency after me for money I didn’t even know I owed. In 2020 my house was damaged in a hail storm, and work only recently finished. The estimate for the damage was over 40,000 dollars. My insurance agent mentioned in 2021 that my plan would cover eco upgrades up to ten percent of the estimate, and that 10% of the estimate was $4,393.09. From this I elected to upgrade my shingles to impact resistant and replace some wood trim with smart board. Both were confirmed by my insurance representative to be covered under the eco program. The contracting company finished the work and I paid the remaining invoice for the eco upgrades. Now td Meloche Monnex is stating they will only cover ~$600 stating that the email sent to me saying $4,393.09 can't be validated because it was not manually copied into their system, and the insurance agent is no longer with the company. I added them to the original email chain to show them the email originally sent to me, but they claim I could have altered it therefore its invalid. After around a month I was able to escalate the issue, and they only now stated they are going to go to IT to retrieve the email if they can, but no updates are being provided that if it is validated that they will reimburse me the money I am owed. *** *** ******* ******* **** **** *** ****** ** *** *** * ***** ** **** **** *** *** *** ** ****** **** * **** ******* ***** **** **** **** ***** ******Customer Answer

Five months ago my vechicle was taken in for a front right passenger window. I have been able to find this part since then and its been two weeks out. Every two weeks TD extends the repair window, citing parts delay. My biggest issue is they refuse to communicate, I have escalated the issue and they ignore me they still have my vehicle. They have delayed the repair 15 times now and refuse to get the part from elsewhere or buyout my vehicle. * **** **** **** ***** ** ***** *** **** ** ********** **** ****** ** *** *** **** **** ******** ***** I am without a car, I have paid 1k dollar for a rental vechicle. I accidentally missed a payment on my auto insurance in January. Contacted TD and explained the situation and they gave me a concession and we made a change in my payment date so I could ensure that I had adequate funds in my account on the day of withdrawal and therefore this wouldn't be a matter again. I recently received registered mail from them stating my policy would be cancelled if I did not pay the rest of my yearly premiums in full, so I reached out to them again, ******** about why it was being cancelled. I went back through my banking history and my monthly premiums were withdrawn on the date we had agreed upon, but for some reason, showed up as 'corrected' and bounced. So on their end, they noted that as missed payment (though it should have gone through and I am not sure what occured - but they insisted it was not their error or a mistake). They are still threatening to cancel my policy unless I pay the remaining premiums (over 1600 dollars) before the end of this month. Their customer service was completely useless and just kept saying over and over 'I understand your frustration but there is nothing we can do' even after checking with supervisors. **** ****** *** ** * **** ***** *** ****** *** ** *********** ********* ** ****** ***** *** ** ******* ** *** ********* **** ***** ********* ********** *** ****** * **** ** *** ****** *********Initial Complaint

**** *** ** ********* *** ***** ** ****** *** **** ** ***** accident (a fender bender) Jan 17th. Dropped off car at local TD auto centre, was told we didnt have rental car in policy and I said I wasnt aware. Advisor said to contact TD about error and omission.
3 changes in adjustors and nobody keeps you updated or follows up (you have to call the TD main line to find out who your adjustor is every single time because they won't respond). Originally said car would be ready Feb 8, the now it's been 2 months with 5 delays. Adjustors don't respond and no one picks up at the TD auto centre at Yonge/Elgin Mills, their voicemail is always full at different times of the day and could only speak to someone by visiting. Was finally told on Tuesday to "Pick up the car but muffler's making noise". Went in to pick up on Saturday, and as soon as we leave, car makes noise and won't accelerate. Turned around, went back and asked if anyone had test driven the car and no one did. ***** *** *** ****** ************ *** ***** *** ******* * *** ** **** ********** **** **** the car was making noise on Tuesday when they called for pick up and nothing was done since.

Home insurance was canceled September 10th 2022 . Td would not allow me to pay the payment and because I missed a payment stated I would have to pay over 300.00 to continue being covered with home insurance . In January if 2023 and February TD insurance started taking money out of my account again . I have called numerous times. The last call which was 7bdays ago told me the business office would be refunding me back my money. ***** * ** ***** **** **** **** ***** ***** ** **** ***** *** ** ** ******* **** ****** I do not have home insurance with them anymore .Initial Complaint

I have an auto insurance with TD insurance since August 2021. Back in April 2022 my bank declined payments for TD Insurance and blocked my card. TD insurance couldn't take the payments and I was out of the country so I was not aware of that as well. In July 2022, I called the TD bank for my home insurance and was informed that missed payments on Auto Insurance. We kept in touch and came to an agreement that I will pay additional amount to cover the missed payments. For the last 3 months, TD insurance is taking out the amounts regularly.
Today, I received a call from the sales department and offered extended water warranty, I refused that and also requested to update the credit card information. After putting me on hold for more than 10 minutes, I have been told that my auto insurance has been cancelled back dated. Despite the fact, I have been paying them additional amount on a regular basis.
There was no communication whatsoever, it just came up during the home insurance *********. **** ********** **** ** *** ********* ** ********* ******* ** ***** *** **** *** **** ** *** *** ** *******
I still would like to keep my Auto insurance and home insurance as is but TD insurance would like me to pay in full for the whole year which is not possible for me at this point of time. Initially, we came to agreement to pay additional amount to cover the differential amount which is as of today $373.36, I can pay this amount in one go if they are ready to keep my insurances.
I really appreciate if someone look into this and resolve the issue.Initial Complaint

I missed a payment for my insurance. I called to make a payment arrangement. I was told payment is still processing and to call back. When I called back I was advised my TD insurance agent or phone representative that they had issued a cancelation of my policy for non payment effective Feb 13th, however after to speaking to the agent, who put me on hold to confer with her manager, and then advised me to pay a fee of 172 dollars by credit card immediately to cancel my policy, effective Feb 1, and she would issue me a new policy, and It would not show on my record as a cancelation for non payment. The fee was paid as requested. One week later on February 8th, I made a follow up call to make sure my new policy was being sent to my address, ( as I am not home, but am away at work, out of province ) and I was informed by the agent that in fact they were going to put on my record that my policy was canceled for non payment and it would stay there for 3 years, and implys negative consequences for me financially, and that the agent who advised me to pay this cancelation fee and assured me it would no reflect on my record , should not have advised me of that and that she made a mistake ( even though that was the direction from her manager.) **** ** ** ********** *** ****** **** * ******* ******* * ********* **** *** *** **** ** *** *** ****** *** *** ****** ** *** ******* * ***** * *** ******* ***** *** ** ** ** ******* *** ***** *** ******** *** ***** ** *********Initial Complaint

My vehicle was in a towing incident last year and was directed to a TD auto centre. Insurance deemed my car un-drivable and towed it to a nearby mechanic. They determined no damage and did an alignment (unauthorized), and verified the car was road safe. The car persisted to have alignment issue. I requested for second opinion with an appraiser who agreed there was damage to the car but cannot determine it is definitely due to towing. Due to this, insurance is refusing to cover the cost and I paid the amount of my deductible $500 (for no service done). The adjuster repeatedly asked me for “licensed mechanic or dealership can provide confirmation the claim is related to the claim”. * **** ** ********* ******** *** ************* ******* ** *** *** ******* On 2023/01/13, I contacted my adjuster for advice before picking up the vehicle, she asked “Do you have someone older you can bring with you to the shop?” ***** *** **** ************* *** *********** * ******* ** ******* **** ** **** * ******* *** ****** *** *** ***** ****** *** **** *** ** *** *** ******* **** ******** ** *********** ****** * ***** *** ******** ****** ** ******* *** *********** * ***** *** **** ** *** *** ******** ** **** ******* ************* * ****** ** *************** ** ***** * *** *********** *** *** ******* ** *** ** ****** *** **** ***** ** ********** *** **** ** ********** ************ ** TD was unable to provide me with the service I required *** ****** ** *** ** ***** ******** **** ******** ** They asked by unreasonable document to proceed with the claim ** *** ************* ******* ** *** *** ******* ******* **** ** ******* ** *** ******* ** ** ********** **** * ****** ****** ** ***** ** ********* *** *** *** *********** * **** ** She constantly brought up what her shop said to even though her shop *** *********** **** they failed to diagnose the vehicle, * ** ***** ****** ** ********** *** ****** ************ **** ** **** ******
