I brought my boat to legend October 2022 for an insurance claim repair. I had agreed to pay the $1000 deductible and a 100 hour service for $450. All other work I was told would be covered by insurance. After approximately 10 months and a lost boating season Legend is now telling me they will not release my boat unless I agree to pay for storage/boat wrap/oil change that I did not agree to pay. I have a large garage to ************* and I do my own oil changes. I refuse to pay for something I did not agree to pay.

Thank you for bringing this matter to our attention. After reviewing your account, we found discrepancies in language used to explain covered costs and we failed to properly explain those costs to you. As a result of this review, we have waived the storage, boat wrap , oil change and winterization charges and we will provide you with an updated invoice through the email associated with your Legend Boats account. Your new invoice will reflect the $1000 deductible and the 100-hour service performed by Legend Boats. Additionally, there will be the insurance payment that remains outstanding.

Thank you for the opportunity to work through this issue with you and if you have any questions, dont hesitate to reach out directly to me at ********************************

On Sept. 22, 2022, I purchased a boat, *************** from ***** Powersport in *****, ON. The boat is a Legend 15 Allsport Ser.# PLX58725H223.; the motor is a Mercury 40 H.P. When I got home with the boat, I noticed that there was a defect in the bottom of the boat. I believe the part is called a spray rail. One of the rivets was broken off and the piece does not fit flush to the hull. I contacted ***** Powersports right away, but they asked me to bring the boat in next spring (spring 2023) as boating season was almost done. I brought the boat back to ***** Powersports in April 2023. They attempted to fix it but were unable to, as the whole interior of the boat needs to be removed to fix it. They informed me that it will have to be returned to Legend Boats, which is in *********, ON. They contacted Legend Boats and I was informed that Legend Boats tried to say that I did this myself. Fortunately for me, I took some pictures of the boat at ***** Powersport before I took possession and you can see the defect. ***** Powersport sent pictures to Legend, proving that the boat was delivered with the defect. *******, the Service Manager at ***** Powersport has contacted Legend Boats numerous times, but they seem to ignore him. I tried to contact Legend Boats 2 weeks ago. My phone call went to voicemail and they haven't contacted me back.I would just like to have my boat fixed. Apparently its an expensive fix to have done.
