9/20/23, passed 12:30pm I went to Rose's Custom Tailoring for gown alteration. There's 1 customer ahead of me, I waited maybe 15 minutes to finish her first customer and maybe less that 10 minutes she did checking my gown. When i got there **** told me to put the gown on to get ready. The gown just need to cut off the hem of the first layer and lining and need to fix a little bit at the chest. She charged me $175.10 for the alteration and gave me time frame of pick up not until October 4, 2023. She was nice I got lot of compliments from her but when I went back there the following day, 9/21/23 on their opening hour at 10am and asked her if i can get the gown back because I saw another gown online that is much cheaper to that gown and the estimated delivery is September 27 to October 2, so I place the order thinking that I can still cancel the alteration since I will go there early as soon as they open thinking they still not do anything yet to my gown because it is less than 24 hours and 1 customer ahead of me. When I asked **** she refused for a refund and said she will give me 50% store card discount and she already started the gown. I asked to show me the gown so I can take picture. She said "why you don't trust me" she went inside (maybe their working area and heard talking to someone in their language). When she came back asked her again to please give the gown back to me I just want to save money she still refused and said " she's working and don't waste her time and told me not to talk to her close because of covid. She was inside of her small counter and I'm outside by the door of the counter. Then she told me that I'm rude you wasted my time for begging me. I stay and still begging to show me the gown until maybe on the 3rd time she went inside she show me the gown that the first layer of the gown was cut. I told to please do don't do anything on the chest just do the hem so I can save some money, she didn't answer first and I didn't understand what she said next. So I told to I will dispute first the $175.10 to my credit card. She said "come back later I will talk to my lawyer. I left then when I'm still at their parking lot I called the customer service of my credit card to dispute the transaction.

There were three layers that needed hemming...the outside chiffon and the two inner layers of polyester.  The charge is $50 for the chiffon and $30 each for the polyester fabric.

I'll be happy to return $65 to her.  However, if she has already disputed the charge of $175, I will need her to pay me the $110.00.

If she didn't cut the first hem on that day when i came back the next day and if she just gave back my gown to me I will save money more than $175.10 or even more than $110 because of what I  told to her that I saw a cheaper gown online that will arrive on October 2 that might be fit good with me but she don't have kind heart and or kind comsideration to the customer. The gown is just less than 24 hours in her shop.

I purchased a dress online and ordered too small (about two sizes). I went to Rose's Custom Tailoring on 9/16/22 to ask if it was possible to make it fit, or should I just order a new dress. I asked if I had any kind of body changes- say if i lost 5 pounds or gained 5 pounds- would the dress still fit? and she said yes. She was insistent that she could make it perfect, and would raise the value of the dress to be worth 10K!! She had me pay for the services in full before she got to work. It was 280 to re-do the lace up on the back and 450 to replace the lining. I thought this was expensive, but due to her popularity I obliged and assumed this was normal.11/4- dress try on. The dress did not fit. I could not walk and when i voiced concern over this she just grabbed my hips and said I gained weight, and that I would lose it closer to the wedding. She was rude to my aunt- yelled at her for asking a question, and did not listen to any of my concerns. She just steamrolled me and talked over everything I said. I left the appointment in tears.11/7- I went to her shop and recorded our interaction secretly because I knew she wouldn't listen. I demanded the dress and my money back. She wouldn't budge, and eventually we settled on the dress being done on Jan 4th. Jan 4th- go to pickup dress. I can walk, but the dress is see-through now. She removed a necessary button. She didn't understand why I wanted to take the dress home with me, and did not make the lining as long as we discussed, and talked over me when we asked about this. I was so unhappy i just took the dress home.I can provide the recording if needed. She was extremely rude to me and questioned my education. Also, according to ****** Business Bureaus website she is operating with an expired license.

I'm not as good with the internet as I should be, so I never saw the complaint.

Please see the following which explains the cost to *****************************. I am still willing to help her with anything she needs before her wedding in June, as I told her when she picked up her dress. She and her sister were very nice, so I am very confused about ****************** complaint.  I went to a lot of work and even went out and bought the lining for her dress.

Anyway, I hope her dress is perfect but if not, I will do what I can to make it perfect for no further charges.
