They referred me to another clinic for cataract surgery then proceeded to bill my insurance company for the surgery dates. I didn't seen them on the dates that showed up on my insurance explanation of benefits. I actually saw then a week after the dates they billed. I called them and asked the billing office how they could bill my insurance company for days they did not see me. They said they had to bill it that way for post surgery follow up. The exam they bill per eye was the exact same exam that I had pre-surgery with them and was bill as a single exam not per eye. The cost difference was over 300% increase. They billed on the insurance on the surgery dates so they could charge per eye. This is so wrong. I have contacted the insurance company as well about the discrepancy in dates.

Ive been with Makar for several years, I went for a routine eye check up and as usual paid my ** pay before I left. I received a voice mail message, 3 months later that I owe them money for the services that I didnt know was done and that it will go to **llection agency if I wont pay it . This is not how you treat your long time customers. Charging them services that they didnt disclosed. The worst is I remember they have to test me 3x because they dont know what theyre doing and yet I have to pay for it. And now giving me a **urtesy call they said that if I dont pay , it will go to a **llection agency.

I was given several medical related tests without my permission or knowledge. I went for a routine eye exam and was given a bill upon leaving with additional charges that were not presented to me before the tests were given and were not covered by my typical eye insurance. I find this to be a fraudulent practice. I told the receptionist upon leaving that I was not told about extra tests and had not given my consent. I was completely unaware of any additional medical testing until I was presented with the bill.
