The executive officers of RxBenefits should be in jail! Basically, send out form letters for all Prior Authorizations. Then they blatantly fail to gather the proper information so then they can deny PA's for not having the information. Then when the information is given to them, they claim it isn't enough. The whole time not even contacting the doctor's office directly. Insurance companies must love RxBenefits, members never get approved for needed medications so they don't have to pay for them.

Poor customer service. Poor fraud control.Privacy data HIGHLY COMPROMISED.Uses Primarys ssn as part of prescription ID.Customer service staff work remotely and have access to highly sensitive information. The pharmacist literally just read me my spouses ssn with 3 extra digits as my RXID.IMO this cannot be fixed. CVS Caremark is affiliated so I will be posting this for them as well.

In Jan 2024 my company changed health insurance providers. The new company requires pre-authorizations for certain medication and medical devices (glucose monitor). Previous my insurance providers made this a very simple process. However, dealing with RxBenefits ahs been a nightmare....absolutely horrible customer service and their representative have no knowledge at all. After 2 months of jumping through all the hoops that RxBenefits created unnecessary of course the claim was denied for a 3rd time. In dealing with RxBenefits I dealth with serveral customer service reps who did not understand their own procedures. One literally was yelling telling me that Caremark needed to provide the pre-authorization. I repeated explained that Caremark does not for the device in question. After asking for her supervisor **** decided to transfer my call to Caremark who confirmed that RxBenefits need to issue the PA. RxBenefits is miserable to work with. Previously I spoke with a different supervisor to kept stating that the dr was mailed a letter, i asked for a copy of that letter and of course never received it. Yesterday i did speak with a very nice and professional supervisor and explained how bad their reps, this goes well beyond the ultimate denial for the preauthorization. Rxbenefts has the absolutely worst customer service I have ever experienced, sole purpose in my opinion is to give members a runaround, and then deny a claim (for a glucose monitor i have been on for years). I am writing a letter of complaint to the *** to share the horrible customer ****************** "provides". Unfortunately, I share the comments that other BBB complains have stated that I wish my company never changed insurance companies.

Our insurance switched this year to RXBenefits and it is terrible. I have been a type 2 diabetic since my first son was born, over 19 years ago. I was prescribed a medication at the end of 2023, switching from a previous medication because it was said to help with A1C and blood sugar control better. I switched over to the new medicine over a couple of months and found a dose that seemed to work at the end of November. The new year came around and RXBenefits came into the picture and it has been denied for over 4 weeks. My once-in-control A1C and daily blood sugar readings went from a relatively consistent state to a ping pong ball. My endocrinologist keeps sending them information and they keep saying they need a survey filled out. They fill it out, I get denied, and they say the same thing. Now, they say I'm denied because it has to do with diet and exercise. I have been doing that since I was diagnosed all those years ago. They are terrible. Someone behind a desk is playing with people's health. If it isn't resolved, the ************ are finding an outside prescription plan or changing jobs for better insurance. Crazy. They are so bad that the burden is put back on the patient to solve their issues and trying desperately not to end up in worse health.Do better. I do not recommend this company and will spread the word to anyone that will listen to find a different source for a company prescription plan or personal prescription plan.

RxBenefits is very difficult to deal with. They do not train their customer service team in the basics to provide accurate information. You will spend several hours on the phone dealing with them prior to getting a customer service rep that can work through a basic question. Wish my employer would have stayed with the last company.

Wish I could give NO STARS. Worst company ever doesn't care about anything but denying life saving medications. That is how they save companies money...by not covering medications. Refused my son his mental health meds he has taken for 15 years and denied appeals. 5 months later an external reviewer sided with us to cover it for one year. Now with my daughter for her meds, they are saying the prior authorization we got in December is not valid for this year even though we got it for the new year knowing the med wasn't going to be covered anymore. Refuses to fill her meds and never told us they changed their mind and won't honor the letter from December. They try to tell you over the phone to mark things urgent for a "quick response". but it is c*** because then they have more questions and more question and insist you try other generics that you already have taken and don't work. How is this legal? If a doctor who has seen you for years and given you a med for years says you need it, how can someone at a corporate place disagree and refuse to fill the order? And worse? if you give up and want to pay out of pocket said medication is $551 per month so it's not doable even if you are willing. Awful. If your HR department tries to tell you RX Benefits is a "seamless" change...it definitely is not. All they do is deny meds. They even deny ones that are on their formulary.. No joke..sent us letters saying the med was denied and try these other meds...and the one listed is the one denied. Horrible company and if you work there I don't know how you sleep at night.

I have had to complete 3 prior authorizations for Humira in 1 year. Forces me to use Optum speciality pharmacy that is absolutely trash as well. I cant get my autoimmune disease under control because I cant get my medication consistently.

Awful company. My prior authorization for life saving medication I've been on for 12 years was denied, and the appeal was denied, because I need "three trial and fails" on different medications before they cover my current med. I explained "three trial and fails" means life threatening seizures. Dangerous, unethical, and I question the credentials of any pharmacist that would look at my case and think, "three trial and fails" before we cover that medication. Everyone complains about healthcare in the US and RxBenefits is one of the worst. Stay far away. The quote, "three trial and fails" is disturbing. I switched to my husband's insurance and was covered with the first prior authorization.

Terrible company. They find any reason to require a prior authorization and deny coverage for generic low cost drugs. Basically they make money by challenging doctors who prescribe drugs for patients and failing to provide the coverage members are paying for. They should be not be allowed to do business. Avoid at all cost and complain to your HR when you are denied. You most likely will be.

Absolutely atrocious company. I have had them as my prescription provider through work for nearly a decade and have never had them cover a prescription without some sort of issue. They constantly deny coverage without any explanation whatsoever, including for my wife’s life saving ******* and her ****** medication during her *********. Avoid at all costs if you can.
