      My mother died and was buried at the ********* Forest Hill Cemetary. My concern is that when my dad, my sister and I went to make the arrangements nothing was said that we could put decorations such as the in-ground vases with flowers on the grave site. That was in 2020. Three years later my dad died; 2023. We are now in February 2025 in which everything on their grave site has been removed. Initially, my sister thought that everything put out there was stolen. You can see their grave site from the interstate. Her and her husband went to investigate and thought everything was stolen. She called me. She called me again and said that they spoke to someone at the grave yard office and was told that all the grave sites decorations was removed by them. They did not give warning of what they were going to do. I called them myself, and the person I spoke to said that it was against the rules and that the person who was over the grave yard before did not follow the rules; therefore the person over it now had all the decorations removed from all the grave sites. I told her that people spent money on that stuff, including me. I'm in *******, and bought stuff; had it shipped to my sister to put on the grave sites. I told her they should have put a sign up or something to indicate what they were planning to do so it would have given people a chance to removed the items themselves instead of having them thrown away without warning. It was not fair to just take everyone things and just throw them away. I understand them cleaning the grave yard, but give people a chance to get their belongings, especially since they spent their money only to have them toss like it was trash. I feel like they should apologize. I know there is no way they can contact everyone, or even give a monetary solution to this issue, but they should do something. I am very angry and annoyed with this. Putting flowers and dcor on our parents grave site is therapeutic for us. It was not right.
