We moved in our new built home in May of 2023. Richard Electric put in all of our hvacs. The mini split in the room above the garage wasnt cooling so they come and checked it out, said it was low of coolant. They put coolant in then when they come back to check where it was leaking they said they cant get the part to fix it. The Mini split is supposed to have a 5 year parts warranty so why cant they find a part for the unit or replace the mini split. They say they dont carry the brand they put in the room. They said when we built they didnt have any in stock so they got one elsewhere. They should be held accountable for replacing the mini split.

** the manufacturer of the mini split installed in the customer house no longer supports the unit that was installed. We cannot get parts, nor can we get ** to do anything for the customer. We installed the unit, but we did not manufacture the unit. Any warranty of the parts is between the manufacture and the home owner. We suggested the home owner call ** direct and see if they can get a solution from GE.

** the manufacturer of the product has told us that the unit is no longer in production. We are trying to find a replacement coil for the unit. We did not make the unit, and can only support what equipment is still in production. ** is the problem, not Richard Electric. Customer needs to contact ** and file a complaint with them. It is very unfortunate ** can simply stop supporting a product that still has valid warranty time.

Richard Electric is trying to find a part. I also have tried to contact ** and end up with nothing. I just know now to stay away from anything made or owned by **
