They sold my 18 yr old son (illegal in AL) a repaired lemon at regular full price, and it's still having the same problem, even though they've repaired it for the same issues twice since he's had it.

This is a 3rd party complaint.  Customer is of legal age in both TN and AL.  3rd party informed dealership management that the real reason was due to affordability.

I am rejecting this response because:

The transaction which occured in AL, not ** (so the fact that we live in ** is irrelevant in ANY court) My Son is 18, state law in AL is that you must be 19.

    Sincerely,

We offered to do an outright purchase on the vehicle at current market value.  The customer has since had an accident and will bring the vehicle for an appraisal after the vehicle is repaired.

FYI - Our attorney has confirmed that the legal age is 18 and it does not matter if the buyer is married or not.

I am rejecting this response because:

Age of majority designated as 19 years.
    (a) Any person in this state, at the arrival at the age of 19 years, shall be relieved of his or her disabilities of minority and thereafter shall have the same legal rights and abilities as persons over 21 years of age. (b) This section shall also apply to any person who arrived at the age of 19 and 20 years before July 22, ****, but shall not abrogate any defense or abridge any remedy available to him or her prior to such date.
    (c) All laws or parts of laws which read "under the age of 21 years" hereafter shall read "under the age of 19 years." Clearly, your lawyer is wrong.   The law is that you have to be 19 IN (doesn't matter where you live) *******, and they illegally sold my son this truck.  To be honest, if I wanted to be a jerk, I could just turn over the vehicle as is, and he wouldn't end up paying a dime.  And if I really wanted to be a jerk, I could file a lawsuit (and Win) because the salesman knew he was wrong and knew it (because he had him sign paperwork showing it)  He took advantage of my mentally handicapped son who wears hearing aids and has a mental age of about 16, and he knew exacty what he was doing, but the sale was more important than doing the right thing.

If I do not get an honest appropriate response this time, I'll stop communication except through a lawyer.

    Sincerely,

The reason why is really none of their business, but since they want to be pissy.  My 16 yr old daughter attempted suicide, I had to have some very serious surgery, etc.

The law is VERY CLEAR.  This is the last time I will respond without a lawyer.

******* said that I "could" bring it there, not that I had to.  It's still in the process of being repaired, but if they want to, I'll bring it there and drop it off permanently and then file bankruptcy for him.  I'm tired of playing this game.  I was willing to see what they said about buying it back, but the fact is, it's not a question of if they will, they're trying to escape with anything they can grab onto knowing they did wrong.  I'm not playing.  The damage is very minimal but it is going to take some time to get it fixed properly.  If they don't want to wait, I'll drop it off the way it is and they can pay for the repair.

I've spoken to a lawyer, and I have a clear case, so all I have to do is retain them, and then, not only will I win, I'll *** for fraud, and ruining my son's credit, knowing they were wrong.  I'm done playing.  I've been nice up til now, I'm not anymore.  Now I'm angry.   I served my last 4 years in the ************ in ********, ** and I've been highly decorated in *******.   I know the state well, and have MANY connections, including the former head of the ******* Automobile Independent Auto Sales Association.  I went to church with *************************** (you thought I was lieing) and I'm sure I can contact him to find out any information I need to ensure I go to the right people, but try me, please?

I have bought a 2023 Chevrolet suburban from Donohoo Chevrolet in *************** ******* and when I went to pick up the car I noticed several scratches on the back trunk handle and I tools the salesman *********************** who said that they would get another piece and paint it and install it but I did not want my brand new car to be painted so I asked for a compensation for the scratches which if I fixed them at a *************************** shop it would cost over **** dollars but Donohoo offered me only *********************************************************************************************************************************** the vehicle options and details that it has navigation system so that was another disappointment. Also the front grille chrome had discolorations and spots that wont go away as if this is a defect in the car and I saw online in the Chevrolet forum that a lot of Chevrolet owners have the same issues with the spots and discolorations in the grille . I talked to the management about all these issues and asked to be refunded for NOT having a navigation system even though they had it on their website in the vehicles o-toons and descriptions and for the scratches that are on the back trunk and the spots on the front grille but NO resolution was offered by Donohoo Chevrolet in *************** and no contact from the higher management to resolve these issues and NO compensation was offered for not having the navigation system as they claimed it did have and the other defects hd flaws in the car The description of the car on their website is misleading because it shows options that the car doesnt have and they have it as options in the car and the scratches and the discolorations and spots on the grille . Very very very poor quality customer service and very rude salesman and unprofessional people and careless higher management. I had the worst purchasing experience at Donohoo Chevrolet in *************** and I am disappointed with the owner and management react

    Prior to completing purchase

Customer did agree to the $150 toward the scratches opposed to the offer of having the handle replaced.

Customer was happy and jovial with all of the staff that he interacted with at the dealership.  There was zero indication that he was not happy with the purchase.

    During the delivery

Customer had an in depth delivery explaining features of the vehicle, including Navigation. We explained that the Navigation is app based on the 2023 *************** ******* Maps)

    Post Purchase

Customer called to re-negotiate about the scratches on which an agreement was already made.

Customer brought up water spots on the grill.  We offered to look to see if it could be a warranty item.

April 12 at approximately 1730.  Customer told the General Sales Manager that he did not have time to bring the vehicle to the dealership.

We are still offering to look at the grill on the Suburban.
