    On Wednesday, August 2, 2023, I signed an agreement with EcoView Windows of North Alabama to order and install windows. They came out to measure and order the windows on August 24, 2023. They stated it would take 4-6 weeks for them to come in. I tried contacted the company early October to check on the status of my windows but no one will answer my calls. I have texted the owner twice and he has read both messages but no reply. They have locked their doors. The parent company, EcoView Windows, has stated that the North Alabama location is no longer associated with them because they have left other customers without windows as well. They have already taken payment from me but won't return my calls.The loan company has launched an investigation but I want the BBB to be aware of this and do their own investigation.

    Started the window replacement process in February 2023. Windows were finally installed Late May - June of 2023.After installers announced they were done I asked them about the damaged sash on my Living room window and the broken lock on the Dining room window. They said they would have to inform the local office about the damaged sash and would bring a new s**** for the lock the next day as they had to return to add flashing to the exterior of a few windows. I contacted the local office and through text messages sent photos of the damages and the ill fitting window. I was informed that they would get repair parts sent and have a repair crew come to fix the sagging window. I have had no further contact from the company. I have called several times leaving my phone number to be called back with no calls. I filled out a review on their website thinking they would see it and reach out, nothing. This is my last effort before I am forced to contact legal representation. I financed the windows and as soon as the financing company paid Ecoview they stopped all contact and have refused to make good on their product.

    On 6/6 I signed the paperwork for replacing 9 windows and paid a $3768.00 (half) down payment. I was told that it would take 4-6 weeks for the windows to be made and delivered once measurements were confirmed. On 6/13 my window were measured. On 8/9 I reached out for the first time to get an update-no response. On 8/15 I reached out to the salesman to get an update. He told me I needed to speak with someone else and that hed leave a message for her to call. On 8/16 I called the office to get an update and had to leave a message. On 8/17 I called the office to get an update and was put on hold for over 20 minutes. I hung up and tried again and had to leave a message. I called the salesman to explain that I still could not get anyone to call me. He told me hed notify the owners to call. I sent an email asking for an update on my order. On 8/17 I received a call from the owner who provided me with an update that my windows would be delivered on 9/5. On 9/7 called to get an update-no answer and mailboxes were full. I sent a text asking for an update and received a response he would call me as soon as he could. I asked if there was anyone else that could provide me with an update-no response. On 9/8 I called the office-no answer. I sent an email asking for an update and let them know that if I did not hear from anyone, I file a claim with the BBB. On 9/11 I tried calling the office again-no answer. Also called owner and left a message. Sent text notifying him that I intended to file a complaint if I didn't hear from someone. I also told him that if he couldn't fulfill my order to refund my money. The message was read at 12:03pm but no reply received.

    On 05/08/2023 I signed a contract to have 1 patio door and 23 windows replaced. I paid half ($8,625.00) of the total contract price ($17,250.00) down. I was told it would *********** - 8 weeks for the door and windows to arrive. It is now 09/07/2023 (4 months later) and I haven't heard anything. When I call the business it goes to voice mail and states mailbox is full and you can't leave a message. I either want the windows and door installed or a refund. This is a terrible way of operating a business.

    Paid deposit of ******* for replacement windows for my house on June 30. 2023. We have tried to contact company for 3 weeks to get a time when windows will be installed. No one has responded after weeks of calls.

    I entered into a purchase agreement with Ecoview, for every window in my home, in January 2023. The value of the contract was $20,000. It has been a disaster from the start. -Windows were measured wrong and therefore ordered the incorrect size for every window. We didn't know this until later.-Ecoview didn't tell they were ordered wrong. -They had installers come from another office who installed the windows even though they were too small. At this point we didn't know they were ordered incorrectly. They don't close correctly. There are gaps. They didn't seal the windows correctly. They did use any type of insulation and they damaged our window seals. They used the wrong color caulking.-They had to come out multiple times to do installs, which still are not complete. They were supposed to reorder a few of the windows that wouldn't fit and forgot to order them. -The owner **** came out a couple of times and promised to take care of it. He agreed with everything outlined above and blamed his installers.-**** brought another installer out to install a large arched window over our door and while he was here he pointed out to the owner that every single window is the wrong size!-**** agreed and said he will take care of it. He would re-order ALL windows, expedite them, and personally oversee the install. -**** wrote a letter outlining this and stating that he would ensure this get taken care of.-That interaction was over a month ago. No communication from this company unless I call. I have reached out to **** multiple times via text and calls. At first it was constant excuses for where the windows were and when they will be installed. Now he won't even respond. His office just says he out and he will call me back. -I have called corp and they refuse to help. They are independently owned offices and there is nothing they can do. I asked for a corp Manager and they refused to give me a person. The girl I spoke to refused to give me her name.

    We placed an order for windows on 5/16/2023. The contract says around 6-8 weeks for delivery of windows but times will vary. We paid half the cost of the windows up front and are to pay half when they are installed. We reached out to ***** sometime around June 21 to check on the status. She told us she was showing an anticipated delivery date of July 24 and that they would reach out at that time to schedule installation. We didnt hear anything from them that day. We began trying to call on Tuesday and called and left messages everyday that week with no response. The owner finally text my husband on that Friday to say they were at a conference until Monday and he would get in touch with us then. We did speak to an assistant later that evening who said they had not yet been delivered. Since then we have not received a call from the owner. We did hear from someone in the office and have continued to be told that they are waiting on a truck and they will be here tomorrow, in a couple of days, etc. We have had to reach out to them each time. No one has voluntarily reached out to us with an update. It is now August 9 and we have no windows and no specific time when they might be here. Just tomorrow or the next day and then they never are there.

    *4/26/23 We purchased back & front door from ********************* at EcoView & paid in full *5/22 Our contractor installed door & noticed neither door had weather-stripping *5/22 **** said he would have weather-stripping, PVC door ************** mould installed on doors & have ********* install doors at no extra charge *6/2 **** said ********* would install a temp back door, fix & install doors; no indication of addl charge *6/8 ********* delivered doors but advised us to return doors *6/9 **** offered to install different front & different, unpainted, back door, we keep temp ********* trade in our front door for addl $2000 *7/20 We visited **** in ****************** issues re color, blemishes, & the install of weather-stripping, PVC door *************** mould. **** did not charge us extra for anything. We scheduled install date 7/25 *7/25 ********* didnt show & no communication from ****/*********. We requested another install date, but did not get one *7/27 We requested install be completed by 8/26 or full refund & the hardware back *We were unable to get box, *************************** for hardware ***** often offered to give us a quote for siding/windows; we never received one *8/1 ********* said install is $250 per door + a balance for temp door *8/2 ********* called my husband a shyster *8/2 **** said - he never charged us for the install because our contractor was supposed to do the install - he had to pay ********* to install temp back door & bring our doors back to shop - he is no longer able to sell temp door, even though he offered to allow us to keep the door in the 6/9 offer & his ********* offered to reinstall the temp door in another location on our house once we got the 2 doors we paid for - he assumed he could absorb cost of above items w/ windows/siding - he will pay $250 if we pay $250 to install doors, or he will pay install of both doors if they do our siding, even though we were told there would be no addl charge to install doors

    Terrible experience with these folks. This was to be a 2-3 day job. It went on for 5 weeks! The first contractor did such a awful job that another one had to be scheduled. After the first failure, the owner made a written agreement with me to fix and finish 5 line items. He demanded payment after only two of these items were completed. He claimed the the things I was asking to be fix were not in the contract and the job was completed. True, they were added on after the first contractor did such a awful job. I reminded him of the written agreement. He didn't even acknowledge he had agreed to his own email! He demanded the remaining balance and threatened to turn me into collect if not paid in a few days. I sent him a screen shoot of the agreement and pictures of the items that still were not finished. Again, he didn't acknowledge these things. Just flat out would not accept responsibility or hold true to his word. He continued to threatened me. I paid him. So now, I'm setting with a incomplete job, including caulk on my home, a rotten window frame, broken picture frames, wall damage, the list goes on. I work nights and had to get a hotel one day after the 2nd contractor didnt finish when i was out of town for 5 business days. This was just a unnecessary expense. I was given a $200 reduction but not acknowledgement the job and agreement were not fulfilled. The $200 was to cover the hotel, I assume. I owed $900, paid $700. I asked for the job to be finished or bigger reduction to cover the expense of fixing the wood rot. He said the rot was not his problem. Please see the screen shoot of the agreement he wrote that states other wise. I'm seeking the agreement to be fulfilled or a direct bill to the company for the job to be complete by a contractor of my choosing.

    I am truly sorry that your experience with us was not up to par. We do have very stick quality requirements for our installers. I noticed several of the pictures you took are of the same window at different angles. I agree that the first installer did a poor job which is why I let him go after coming out to your house and inspecting it myself. The second installer is a master ********* and repaired the issues and went above and beyond doing things outside the scope to try and please you. There are a few things you forgot to mention:

       1. You told the installers that they had to leave before 2pm so you could go to bed. This did prolong both installers.

       2. Many of the pictures you took are of the same window at different angles.

       3. The wood rot you claim was not repaired was dirt and discolored due to the poor condition of your siding. It was not rotten as verified by a master *********.

       4. The installer readjusted your door so you could lay flooring, (another above and beyond service)

       5. I only asked for payment when the job was completed. You were trying to get out of paying asking for me to discount $1000.00 after we fixed everything.  I agreed to take two hundred off your final bill.

      6. The installer that corrected everything had to build the window frame with wood and spent several hundred dollars on material due to the poor condition of your siding.  He even adjusted and tightened up your siding that was about to fall off the house. At no charge to you.

      7. I never threaten anyone. I'm not sure where that came from other than it goes along with some of the other exaggerations. you have stated.

      8. The installers uses screws and does not nail. There was no reason to go to a hotel. Plus you told us before you had to go to bed at 2pm, you were complaining to the installer at 9am.You claim there was all this hammering, but they have no need to use a hammer.

      9. The value of the picture frame you claim was knocked off the wall has gone up in damages three times since you first told me about it.

     10. The second installer completed all of the repairs and even some not caused by our first installer. He took pictures of all the before and after of each of your complaints. They were all addressed and repaired.

    You have paid your bill minus the $200 I took off. I hate that we see things differently and I really do try to side with our customers, but in this case, I just have to agree to disagree.

    I am rejecting this response because: some of the window caps don't meet or cover the wood framing. They used clear silicone that is not printable. The caulk wasn't cleaned from the windows or the house. There are (were) gaps in the caulking as well. It was not a "master" job. 

    The multiple picture angles were to show the poor quality of the work. 

    I do concede that the window frame was not rotten. I found this out when I looked to repair it. This was not relayed to me. Just more poor communication. 

    Please remember I paid for the door trim, you forgot that it was added in the original contract. It has holes in it from the 1st guys sorry attempt to re-hang the storm door. 

    Point is, the caulking wasn't finished,  the work wasn't cleaned properly,  and the caps were cut short and the silicone doesn't paint well. Poor quality work twice! When I tried to get these things address I was told the work was done pay or be turned in to collection. 

    I feel people should know what sort people they are dealing with. I have paid for a sub-par job and I will live with it. I know in the future these windows will be a issue because of the installation. This is the record of it.

    Original order #***** was on 3/14/23 for a double door, outswing with handle on the left door. I paid a deposit of $2,283.00; the total for the double doors was $4,566.20. My husband, ****, and I were told it would take about 6 weeks for the doors to be completed. We were also told someone would come out and verify the door measurements. We were told we did not need to be there when this happened and we were not present the day they remeasured the outside only. My husband called on 4/24/23 at 1:06 pm, and spoke with **** who said he thought our double door was in but he would check. He also said we ordered a double inswing with a right handle door. **** said, no, an outswing left handle door. **** said he would check and call ** back. At 3:10 that same day, I called; the receptionist said she would have someone call right away. At 3:30, **** called again and she told him the same thing. At 3:41, I called the salesman who took the order and left a message. When we did not hear back I called again on 4/26/23 at 1:34 pm. The receptionist said she would have someone call **. Today, 5/1/23, we have not been contacted by anyone at that company. We are not sure what the problem is or why they will not return our calls. We were really looking forward to the new double door. Now I don't feel they will stand behind their product if a problem develops. I would like a full refund of the funds paid and I am contacting my credit card to see if they can help get a refund.

    It is with deep regret that you feel this way about the order for your door. I would like to give an explanation (not an excuse) as to this process. You are correct that the order was made on 3/14/2023. It does state in the contract that it could take six (6) to eight (8) weeks to be delivered. That would put the delivery date around the first week of May. You wrote this complaint on the first of May.


    Your door did arrive on 4/21/2023 and was sent to the paint booth. When **** called on the 24th I informed him it was in the paint booth. He mentioned it was supposed to be an outswing door. The door arrived as an inswing. The technician that originally went out there to verify measurement noted it to be an inswing door. Out swing doors are normally not recommended by most companies due to the hinges being on the outside causing security issues. After going back and verifying the original order it was noted that the customer was right,and they had requested an outswing door. I tried to contact **** that day to let him know we received an inswing door. I will admit that we had an issue with our phones being answered by a temp agency. There was a breakdown in communication,and we have hired a direct employee to avoid this problem in the future. I myself have not been readily available and failed to get back to Mr. and ***************** to find a solution. I truly apologize for that.


    We at Ecoview pride ourselves on customer satisfaction. I am willing to refund her the money they paid as a deposit for the door or reorder the door from a different company that can deliver in four weeks, at half the price. I will take the deposit they made as payment in full for the door. Either option is available to resolve this matter.
