My name is ********************** and i am filing a complaint against The Beacon apartment homes located in **********, **. I have been living in an unsustainable and unlivable home. My rental agreement was from August 10, 2023- August 11,2024 and my rent is 953$-1,040.50$. When may 2024 came my air conditioning went out and because of this my house has been 90 degrees for 3 months now. I put in 3 service request from management and I also went to the office to complain and my air conditioning still was not fixed. With that being said i have decided to not pay my rent due to the fact i was getting head aches, dehydrated, and also sweating every second even while sleeping. In my house i also have 3 fans i would place in certain areas just to keep me from not falling out or from going to the hospital. I do not have anywhere else to go and i have no family in town. The only place i felt comfortable sleeping was in my car or at my work place. While living here in my last few weeks it has been mentally, physically, and emotionally draining since the office would not help me and they would not even give me corporates number.

I toured a renovated unit and was told it was availible. I was even urged by *************************** to hurry and apply so I could get it. I spent $110 applying for a renovated unit. I didn't get the unit, because "their website doesn't reflect what they actually have". They should know what they have, they manage the property. I wouldn't have applied if I knew they didn't have renovated units. I was told they had 3 available and I needed to hurry and apply to get it. I found out I wasn't getting a renovated unit until the day before my move in date. I wanted to see the unrenovated unit, maybe it wouldn't be so bad. There were cockroaches in the kitchen, and crawling up the livingroom ************ damage everywhere, dirty appliances. The floor sank when we walked on it. We were supposed to move in the very next day in these conditions. I want my $110 application fee back. I would've saved my money had I known they were falsely advertising ***** units.
