      Around June/July of 2024 we purchased a new home for my father *** ***** where he could maintain his independent lifestyle while still receiving in home care for his Dementia and Alzheimers. Shortly after this somebody from the company approached my father for the sale of a water softener system in the home even though we had tested the water prior to purchase. The salesperson continued to meet with my father in person when there were no other individuals in the home to assist with the transaction and finalized a large sale purchase. Further, they pursued and finalized a financial agreement with a retail credit company in the same manner while in my fathers home alone. One can easily tell within a ten minute conversation that my father is NOT in the correct state of mind which is why I have Power of Attorney, handle all of his medical and financial decisions, and am pursuing a resolution to this issue. The company Alabama Pure Energy is unwilling to cancel the purchase, remove the system, or otherwise assist in any way toward a resolution. I have attempted phone calls to no avail, am currently waiting on a return call from the finance company involved, and truly believe that this company has knowingly taken advantage of an elderly dementia patient.

      I am rejecting this response because:

      The agreement has not been completed satisfactorily as discussed.
      Arrangements are in the works, and I am happy with the progress of negotiations since BBB imvolvement. If I agree with the response, it will close the case and I prefer to maintain the line of communication already established until everything is complete.

      Upon completion of the mutual agreement to remove the water softener system and cancel/pay off the financial terms by Alabama Pure, I will gladly close the complaint.

      I have not heard anything from the business, I have tried contacting them and they do not answer the phone anymore. Your online portal isnt working for me to update via the form sent to my by ***** so hopefully Ive given enough info here. 
      Alabama Pure came to my dads house unannounced, he allowed them inside and they repossessed the water softener. I have gotten nowhere in regards to the financing of this unit as they agreed to nullify the contract and payoff the loan. I cannot get a response from Fortiva nor Alabama Pure regarding this portion of the complaint, and we no longer have the product.

      The company misrepresented its services and installation procedures and unlawfully performed work at my residence, resulting in damage to my flower bed, yard, house water lines, and garage. After a week without any response following a stop work order issued by the City of **********, no one from the company reached out to me. I eventually contacted the owner, *******, only to hear him refuse to take responsibility for his installers, the contract breach, and the damages. Instead, he resorted to cursing at me, calling me names. He was trying to refuse to pick up their equipment when I requested it. I was told by the sales lady ****** after ******* **** up on me that they were going to do a complete cancellation and they would pick up the equipment tomorrow. I hope so, but after speaking to *******, I believe there will be retaliation. Please help.

      The contract has been canceled and customer has no obligations related to the purchase/install. All applicable permits were obtained and licensed plumber was onsite.
