Records indicate that **************** did sign up for services on June 23, from an IP address located in the same area in which he resides. During that online sign up, he was required to complete a 4-page process that required his date of birth, social security number, full credit card, and billing information and authorized the charge. In addition, as part of the signup process, **************** had to successfully complete a third party identity verification, which he did. When **************** signed up, he received a welcome email / transaction receipt which was sent to the email address on file, which is the same as the email address on this complaint. Upon receipt of this complaint **************** account was immediately cancelled. Even though He was not eligible for a refund a courtesy refund has been issued, as such we request this complaint be closed.

I originally accepted a $1 trial membership that only included a single credit score report. Then, my bank issued me numerous fraud alerts on my bank account. It came from Creditfreescore.com which was charging me $39.90 for a complete monthly membership. My bank stopped all transactions from that account and issued me a new card. The bank also began a report but has not updated me about the charges. I called and spoke to an operator from the business (Creditfreescore.com) and they continued to offer me a full monthly membership. I again confirmed that I was only interested in the $1 one time report, so there was no further misunderstanding. The operator said that a refund would have to be administered by a manager who would be in contact within 3-5 business days. I never heard back from them. I requested a second refund upon another phone call and was given the same response from an automated operator, and I was never contacted again.

We are in receipt of ******************** complaint. As **************** stated, he signed up for a 7 day $1 trial. As part of that signup process, he agreed to the offer terms which where clear and conspicuous and stated that after the trial ended, his monthly membership would begin, until he canceled. He as provided a toll free number to call and an option to cancel online. He was also sent an email that reiterated the offer terms and the fact that he would be charged after the 7 day trial ended. When **************** first called customer service on March 13th, requesting cancelation, he was immediately canceled. As a courtesy, **************** has been issued a refund. In as much as that he did sign up and authorize the charge, was canceled upon request and has been issued a refund, we ask the complaint be closed.

I did a trial membership and wanted to cancel as soon as I saw my snow but the system would not let me. I was so busy with life I didn't notice it come out the first few months as I had other subscriptions I needed to take care but thought with my card number and bank info different it would not charge me so I forgot about it until a few days ago when it took what money I had left. I talked to send person and she said two charges in one month was valid. Which it wasn't. I only used the service once and it doesn't even show my score. It has always said n/a. also wanted to cancel and I believe it gave me an option to email that I wanted to. I did that and also I tried to not have any cats in their system but it would not let me do that so I put a didn't card and it did stick. But recently as of this month on the 2nd and 3rd was charged two times. I called and got nowhere with them and also my bank. Citibank. They did not delete my card from the system although I did on my end. It still showed the dummy card number on my profile yet they charged to a complete different bank card from Citi. The bank was informed by me that I cancelled my card from the system but since I had already given them the number before they could still use it. What? Do I need to get rid of my bank account to??

They got my bank account information that I am sure I never gave them. I called the customer service line after checking my bank account and noticed a charge of $39.90. I spoke to a young man named ********************* who told me it will take 3-5 business days to get my refund. He then went on to say that I allegedly signed up in January 2024 and that they sent me emails which I never received as I check my email daily. ************** also said that he would expedite refunding my money taken since January, but this charge that I am disputing now is the only one I ever saw. ************** issued this cancelation # C74564086. My bank account is in the negative because of this and I need my money back as soon as possible. I am honestly telling you I have no knowledge of agreeing to anything with this business. I already have Experian credit monitoring. I just want my money back. Please help!

There was a transaction for $39.90 on February 12, 2024 from checkfreescore.com I spoke to a representative and now I'm unable to get through to them. I was told that I would receive a refund and now its impossible to get through to them.

Hello. On Monday, January, 22nd, I signed up to check my credit score through this organization. I agreed to the terms of a free trial that lasted 7 days. On the following days, I attempted to call and cancel the subscription prior to the end of the trial period:-Monday, January 22nd, -Friday, January 26th,-Monday, January 29th.I was unable to reach support from any representative after 20+ minutes, with no other option for contacting the business.Further, I was charged ***** (not *****) on Sunday, January 28th, prior to the renewal period following the end of the trial. Now I have frozen my card and will not offer you any more money. I want my subscription cancelled. Like I did every other time I tried to contact you. Get your act together.

**************** attempted to sign up for services on January 22nd providing her card ending in **** which was declined. Another card was provided ending in ****, which also declined. Due to the declined payment, her account was never active and services were not provided. We did not charge her $39.99 as she claimed. (note we do not have any service for which that amount is charged). Because her account was never activated, there is nothing to cancel. Perhaps she has us confused with another company. Because she is not a customer and was never charged or used the service, we ask this complaint be removed.

They refuse to cancel their service, despite repeated calls to cancel. They refuse to send an email confirming cancelation. They are a scam.

My issue with checkfreescore.com is apparently the same as other folks. I was redirected there on 12/27/2023 somehow after a data breach where I was told I could go to another website to get a 'free' credit report. I got a couple of emails when I signed up, and I apparently didn't read the 'Welcome' email that told me I had a free seven day trial followed by $39 a month for credit monitoring. I don't recall ever asking for that, as I would not have signed up for this. It was not clearly stated on the website that I had signed up for that. The 1 dollar to test my credit card is apparently a red flag for credit card companies, unless it's for specific types of businesses. (It was refunded immediately) At the end of the seven days, I got a possible fraud alert from my credit card company. I wouldn't have even noticed this until then. They had denied the $39 credit card charge and were asking if I wanted to accept the charge. Nope. They had me cancel my credit card. I then contacted checkfreescore.com by phone to cancel my account (after the seven days), and they refused to cancel unless I paid them. I just want my account cancelled. It worries me that they now have my personal information.
