Having a few years of dealing with this company, to rate this company as poor would be an understatement.Upon first contact, I had the good fortune of not only having the pleasure of paying for an overpriced sewer service, but I was informed for this service I had the privilege of paying a $100 non-refundable 'deposit.'The next notable event was letting the neighborhood generator for the pump run out of fuel several days after a hurricane had damaged the neighborhood.Following up this event was a leaking pipe which created a huge sink hole in the middle of the road. This hole opening was several feet in diameter. More cockroaches than could be counted made residence in the void suggesting a long time leak. The sink hole was was filled with some material (I didn't witness this) and capped with asphalt. The asphalt and other fill materials had settled within a few days leaving at least a 6" depression in the road. Obviously, the fill materials weren't compacted as they should be when doing civil work. This depression still exists as this is being written.Finally, as an appreciation, this company sends notification that the monthly bill will further increase and as a bonus a 3% fee will be charged if you elect to pay your bill online. As a note, I researched the average sewer bill across the state. The sewer bill alone charged by this company is only a few dollars off of any published combined water and sewer bills in the state.Unfortunately, there are no alternatives so this company has decided they can make it up as they go along. Hopefully, this information will be useful to unsuspecting victims of this company's ridiculousness.

For 25 years Baldwin County Sewer Service has been serving the Baldwin County area and providing 24/7/365 customer **********************. The phones at **** are answered by representatives 24/7/365. **** charges a new customer fee for only new customers to offset the costs of the administrative, and other related costs of setting up and maintaining new accounts, etc. We have reviewed our records and do not have any record of ******************** nor anyone else reporting a sinkhole in the Outlook Drive area of Lakeland. **** monitors Hurricane and Storm related activity and when needed will deploy portable generators and bypass pumps for the **** lift stations when electricity has been interrupted by Hurricanes.Monthly utility rates vary from location to location and region to regions. **** does not qualify for government grants or subsidies. Based on the EPAs average, monthly use per home of ***** gallons, the rate that **** charges is approximately $ .01 per gallon to treat the wastewater effluent that is generated from: Sinks, Toilets, Dish Washers, Bathtubs, Clothes Washers, etc. and return it safely to the environment. **** enacted the 3% convenience fee for Credit Card / Debit Card transactions due to the high expense rate charged by banks. To be fair, **** enacted this fee rather than increase the monthly utility rate which would have penalized other customers who pay by different means. **** made sure to maintain other free forms of payment without a convenience fee which include monthly ACH, E-Check online, traditional check, and customers can pay from their personal banks website as well. Once again all these methods are forms of payment that are not charged the convenience fee.Baldwin County Sewer Service, LLC
