      Windstream is the only choice for service in our area. It goes out almost every evening around dinner time and especially on the weekends when no service is available. Outages are random and some are 5 minutes while others last all night. The service techs have been to our location several times and admit they cant fix the outage problem. Windstream has raised rates twice this year. I applied and got instant approval for the ACP government assistance program and they say it will take up to 2 billing cycles to apply it. The only thing Windstream is good at is taking your hard earned money.
      Customer service is manned by people in Trinidad and hard to understand and unsympathetic to our situation. I would not sign up for Windstream if there is any other choice available.
      I would give no stars if the choice was available.

      I needed to make a payment I had to call because my app wasn’t working. Oh hey charge you a ridiculous $6.99 fee to pay over the phone. Plus I had to make a payment arrangement and they charge you $2 per arrangement plus what you owe and the $6.99 fee again for the next payment this place is a rip off looking at switching services as I type this

      They keep raising our rates every few months without warning, but their speeds are decreasing. Two years ago I was paying $45 and getting 35mbps speed. Now I'm paying $60 and getting 7mbps speed.

      I started off at a fair price for crap DSL 6mb down. Aparemtly 6mb down is amazing for this infrastructure. Well bam i wemt from 40ish to 80ish in 3 months. Then they advertise a way lower price on tv and wont give it to me. As soon as this fiber goes in im gone.

      I wish I can give 0 stars. Windstream sucks!! Since February, to get them to fix my internet. I call weekly! They will send a technician out, only to find that it is on their side so they will patch only the wire that is showing on the line. Each time, it rains or storms, my internet and house phone is gone. Their solution is to unplug the modem and two minutes laters plug it back up. I have done this, multiple times, the next solution is to go to Kinetic on the web. Alas, I can’t due to where I have no internet and house phone. I tried to make a ticket, Thursday but they said that they were having technical difficulties. So, no tickets were made, then the sun came out, dried up the rain, I had internet again. To be able, for my daughter to work from home, I bonded two lines together which it didn’t work because my daughter lose her job due to low speed internet. She had work at this job for 4 years but due to pandemic, she started to work from home which didn’t last long. I have so many tickets with them that never gets resolved. I’m have no other choice which is why Windstream treats me this way. There is no other internet providers in my area. I have been a customer with them since they moved into this area about 30 years ago. I understand how much they value me by the way that they treat me. My son is a truck driver, who uses the internet for his livelihood. During Covid, I work from home but now, I have to go into the office with a broken ankle on crutches due to where the internet doesn’t work. I have rated the technicians with zeros on Windstream surveys. As of today, I have never had a return phone call asking why. I would love to be able to rely on a product that I have paid for every month. I would just love to be able to use the internet and the house phone for what I got it for. This is why I have stated that WINDSTREAM SUCKS, you should be able to tell by the summary up above. All I want is to receive what I pay for. Nothing more, nothing less. Thanks
