The company removed all the base kitchen cabinets and bath vanity that hand handles. Now they will not take responsibility and pay for new handles. The insurance company said they should be liable and the contractor that replaced the cabinets will not pay for them EcoDry has been paid by my insurance company so they dont care to admit their mistake and replace the handles

I will not close out this complaint until rmj replaces the handles. They should not have to it was EcoDry and your company made it very difficult to get this done.  No action took place until the bbb got involved this might get resolved in another week or 2

EcoDry Restoration was hired on March 27, 2023, to mitigate a water leak from my master bedroom toilet on the same day my plumber found the leak. Paperwork was signed and EcoDry's technicians arrived two (2) days later to do the work. The bathroom area was determined to be ***** **. There was no standing water, which is why they waited two days to provide service. The mitigation was determined to be Catagory 3, biohazardous, any/all materials. My issue is the fact that they left biohazardous materials in my master bedroom to include the bathroom vanity, baseboards, door jams. The only ''agreed on material'' that was to be left for the repair company was the marble vanity top, which had no contact with the biohazardous toilet water. This act left me, as well as my two (2) pets, at risk from biohazardous contamination outcomes. When asked, they told me the "repair company" was going to remove these items. Being uneducated, I had to wait almost 10 days before I found out from the "repair company" that they were NOT legally responsible to remove this material. I then contacted my project manager in order to get this material removed. He did send me a text stating he would "get right on it." However, no one from EcoDry came by to remove this contaminated material from my home after one month. I am 73 years old and was forced to take this material out of my bedroom, into my garage, and dump it in my garbage container. EcoDry is negligent relative to this issue and I am implementing this complaint in order to make sure they are held accountable for their actions (abandonment of job/failure to remove all Category 3 contaminated material per licensing requirements/exposure of biohazard material waste to home/person/animal).

      Hello *******,

We are more than happy to communicate with you on this situation. It would be out of the ordinary for damaged materials to be left on site unless specifically requested by the property owner. We will generally leave items that were undamaged by the water loss on site to be reused part of reconstruction process. One of the goals of our projects is to preserve unaffected materials.  I can see from our photos of the job that there were a number of bags that were  hauled off and disposed of by our crew, those were the affected materials. The items left behind would be what was unaffected with the possibility of being reused.

We have reached out to you various time since receiving this complaint via phone. Is there a different mode of communication that you would prefer? We reached out via phone on 5/9, 5/12, 5/15, and this morning.

Again we are available to talk you through this situation and if there is additional information to be shared we can gather that as well.

Thank you, looking forward to speaking with you.

Please note that not ONE PERSON FROM YOUR COMPANY has CONTACTED ME AT ANY TIME since I notified your project manager, ***************************, of the situation on April 17-19-2023. I SENT HIM PHOTOS OF ALL THE MATERIALS left beside my bed.  These materials were unusable broken/damaged/soiled with biohazardous materials. You left the vanity that your technicians tore out from Category 3 water damage, as well as the oversize baseboards and door jams that were contaminated. I was told the repair company was going to remove these items. *****'s response was noted on April 19th at 12:07 p.m. via email when he saw what was left in my bedroom and stated he ''would get right on it."  No one from your company has contacted me SINCE either by PHONE, EMAIL, AND/ OR TEXT to RESOLVE THIS ISSUE.  There were no voicemail messages/texts/emails that you can provide stating that you tried to resolve this issue. Your company legally had the responsibility to remove any/all items that you broke down that were contaminated as Category 3 items.  You did not remove everything. Your services were done on March 29-20-23.  You abandoned the job and you left me with having to remove everything on my own.  Your Project Manager should have taken care of this issue when first notified and he should have made your company aware of this issue at that time on April 17-19-23. He was my contact for any/all issues relative to your services. This was two weeks after your services were done, as I had to wait and hear from the repair company that it wasn't legally their issue to resolve.

      Hello *******,

We want to communicate with you to reach a resolution on the situation. What phone number would you like us to reach out to? We have attempted numerous times  via phone call but haven't gotten an answer, if there is another form of communication you prefer? Please let me know. If materials are affected they are disposed of, there are other unaffected materials left on site it would be correct that it would be up to the rebuild company to determine if they can be reused. If they can't be then they will throw them out.

      Thank you
