I purchased a new Kia *** last month, and its AC system started malfunctioning on Monday, July 8th, and stopped working entirely by Tuesday, July 9th. I contacted *********************** on Wednesday, July 10th, and my car was delivered to Martin Swanty Kia in *******, ****** service agent, ******, informed me the car would be diagnosed by Thursday, July 11th, or Friday, July 12th. I requested a loaner vehicle, as my extended warranty covers it, but was told it could only be provided after diagnosis.Despite my patience, by Thursday, I received no updates and learned the diagnosis would be delayed until Friday or possibly Monday. Again, I asked about the loaner car and was denied, with the excuse that none were available. As of today, Wednesday, July 17th, I have been without my car for a week. Martin Swanty Kia has not honored the warranty I paid for, failed to provide a solid diagnosis date, and has been unprofessional in their communication and service. This lack of organization and failure to uphold warranty terms is why I am filing this complaint.

The issue involves a light that is on in my 2020 ******** EV. It is "inverter coolant low" and it's not low. The dealership and specifically the service writer ****** have been very helpful. My VIN number is *****************. The light started coming on in 2020 while the car was under warranty. At that time there was nothing the dealership could do as *** had not authorized a repair for the concern. After it was out of warranty, *** finally came out with a fix of flushing the coolant. Over the course of two years about, the dealership flushed the coolant 5 times. Most of the time the light came back on before I got home. *** has came out with a recall for this concern, but somehow my VIN number is excluded. ******, as far as I know performed the recall recently using a new machine *** shipped out for this concern. The light came back on. I have the car for sale right now for $18,000. I just paid it off for $25,000. So far no one is interested in buying the car with this light on, and because the recall excluded my VIN number, a buyer would have no coverage for this light. I would like *** to buy this car back. The next question on this form is asking how much I paid the business. I am going to put what I paid for the car. Note, that the dealership has not charged me anything for all the work they have done and have most of the time even provided a courtesy car for me.

My late spouse bought a brand new 2017 *** ******* with 90 miles on it at a dealership in ********, **. We added an extended warranty. On my way from ******, ** on 10/21/23 the car stopped running on the freeway. My current *********** had it towed to our house. The next morning I started ****** was surprised it but not for long. We had it towed on 10/22/23 to Martin Swanty KIA in *******, **. They informed me the engine blocked up (they dont know why) & the car needs a new ************ not covered because they said the car had a few recalls on it. We were completely unaware of any recalls. Nothing was ever sent to us. The car still sits at the dealership, they say I owe $200.00 for diagnostic tests. My vehicle only has ******. miles on it & is only 6 years old at that time. I have a 6yr 60k mile warranty along with an extended warranty for the powertrain, transmission, etc. Ive spoken to ****** at the *** in *******,** she is definitely not helpful!*** **************** *********************** # ************* *** ******* VIN #***************** Still under my passed husbands name ********************************* had the loss of him & many other things that became too overwhelming to handle at the same ********* unable to pay the $200 diagnostic fees, the car still sits at the dealership in ******* to this day. On Sat., June 3rd, my car was towed to Martin Swanty Kia. On Monday, June 5th at 831am I left a message in regards to my car being towed. They called to confirm and advised I'll hear from rep. **** aware that I'm in a rental. I didn't receive a call, so followed up June 6th at 219pm. Again, no call back after message, so called on the 7th twice. Still unable to reach rep. I followed up the following day, June 8th and left vm. I received a text message from rep stating vehicle diagnosed. I then replied I have a warranty. I didn't hear anything so contacted ****** twice on the 12th. No return phone call or message. On June 13th, I tried to reach her 3 times. I had to get her paged over the intercom. After being on hold several minutes, I was told by ****** that a claim had been submitted. Something didn't feel right, so I called the warranty company on the 15th only to be told no claim has been submitted. I then attempted to reach her again. Had to contact the manager ***** to get her to call/text back. Magically, a claim was submitted that day. However, I was and am currently still in a rental. On June 15th she told me she hoped to have an answer by the 16th. I waited until the 20th to follow up. When no response, I again called the warranty company who said they reached out to her on the 16th and ran into the same issue as me. Unable to reach anyone and told no vm. There has been so many lies on this dealerships end. Even the amount to repair is completely different than what my warranty told me (see attached note). I believe this dealership was trying to take advantage of me since I'm not located there and initially they assumed I didn't have a warranty, so overpriced the amount for repairs. I'm worried about my car and I'm unable to obtain it. They're refusing to help with anything or any cost although this huge delay caused so much financial duress. I was even told it's not their fault that I got stranded, that I don't have a second car or a truck by the Mgr.
