Buyer Beware! Manny's Air provides terrible installation and customer service.I want to share my extremely disappointing experience with Manny's Air. We bought our home in early 2020, and a 4 Ton 16 Seer Split Heat Pump had been installed by them less than a year before for the previous owner. Earlier this year, we noticed water leaking from the top pipe outside and had it inspected. We were shocked to learn the unit was installed **************** are some of the issues:The unit was tilted away from the primary drain, causing water to leak into the rusting secondary drain ****** return plenum was installed as recommended, creating a 90-degree kink that restricts airflow. The inner air conduit was partially exposed, with a reused, undersized return collar plate patched with tape and sealant. The electrical entry wasnt secured with a non-metallic cable connector, leaving it out of code.Over an inch of water sits in the primary drain pan. The blower insulation is soaked, with rust forming on the coil, case coil cabinet, blower housing, and electrical section. An incorrect trap was installed instead of the manufacturer-recommended P-trap with a 2" minimum drop.We had two other companies inspect the unit, and both confirmed it was installed incorrectly. We have paperwork, photos, and videos as proof.Mannys Airs response was unacceptable. They repeatedly brushed us off, demanded a $95 service fee, and never took responsibility, claiming the previous owners had installed the unit, not us. Attempts to speak with ***** were met with "maybe" hed call back, but he was always "too busy."This company does not stand behind its work and refuses to acknowledge its mistakes. Very disappointing for a family-run business! Think twice before considering Mannys Air.

      To whom it may concern:

We are sorry to hear on the current condition of the 5 years old Unit Installation on ****************** ***********, AZ 85143

We would like to share what we have on record from the installation on June 24th of 2019, for our customer ****** ******, the original owner, who was completely satisfied with our installation as shown in our Satisfaction Walk-Through form. (See attached Signed Sales Contract and Installation Satisfaction Form)

In response regarding the supposed issues on the water leaking they are referring to the outdoor water line pipes are designed to drain water during normal operation.
Drain lines were originally installed correctly according to 2019 codes as shown with the images provided, this shows they have had normal draining of water condensate for a whole 4 years after installation. Otherwise any improper leveling or wrong piping will start to leak right away after installation.
Meanwhile we have no control if anybody else tampered the original installation condition.
The discoloration they have reported in the primary drain pan inside the air handler cabinet is not due to corrosion but dirt, dust, and debris that may be caused by improperly maintained air filtration. Besides there is no metal to rust on the aluminum evaporator coil, and neither from the primary PVC drain pan.
The only technical reason to have water in the secondary drain pan is because of a clogged primary drain line.
As we have mentioned we follow all codes from 2019 including on duct work.
On every finished installation we perform an airflow (Static pressure test) evaluation as is our protocol. Without finding any type of restriction at that time.
Again, we have a whole 4 years of normal system operation to prove it.
On the supposed unsecured electrical issue shown on the images
Mannys Air protocol ensures & tightens properly any and all High Voltage wiring and connections.
Again we have no control on any tampering of the wiring, and as seen in the image there is indeed a non-metallic cable connector.
Depending on the conditions of the area below the air handler, we have the option of using the long looped p-trap which would improve the drainage of condensate and reduce the risk of clogging or the short looped p-trap with 2 clearance.
As every thing is recorded by our quality control system, we can attest that we never refused service to the new home owner.
However, they repeatedly refused to cover the minimum $95 service call.
We explained, as a new customer, regardless of if we installed and considering that the guarantees had already expired; we still have to charge to schedule an appointment to evaluate any complaints.

For any further questions do not hesitate to contact us by email or phone number

      Sincerely,
