1 starIf I could leave a no-star review, I would. We took our '34 **** streetrod to EngineMaster to get a new engine. We originally were going to get a crate engine, but they told me they could build a custom engine cheaper and with better performance. That was in late January, 2023. We added on a hybrid A/C installation and made significant downpayment/progress payments of $10K. In mid-May, we were told the car was ready so we went down, paid the final bill of $7k (total of roughly $17K). The car was not ready; it was still on ramps with some parts still not installed. We've since been told multiple times it was ready, only to have something come up at the last minute and be told when we got there it wasn't ready. I paid the full price a few weeks ago, was told again it was ready yesterday so I went down to pick it up again. The doors were locked, the owner was gone, and the mechanic came out to tell me there was another problem. The car's been paid for since mid-May, and the owner has repeatedly misled us about the status of the car and has yet to provide the build sheet I asked for, too. At this point, I've paid for my car and it hasn't been released. I no longer feel comfortable driving the car if I ever get it back. If I do, I will have to pay for another, more reputable mechanic to tear down the motor just to see what's in there. I want my car back, and I don't want to be charged any more money, given I've already paid more than $17K over the last 4 months, I've wasted multiple trips to pick it up, bought some parts myself because they said they couldn't find them, and still no car. I'm going to have consider filing a stolen vehicle report if we don't get it back this week.Review fromTerry B

1 starI am not happy with my experience with Engine Masters. The car has had the check engine light on for months following their head gasget repair. They lost my engine cover and told me it wasnt on the car, which is absurd. They found one at a junk yard, but clearly just add the cost to the 2 follow up trips Ive made . The quoted prices have never come close to what they end up charging me. I wish I never paid the thousands of dollars I ultimately had no choice but to pay them. I would have been better off scrapping the car. Too many innaccurate quotes . Not happy at all.Review fromDan O

Realizing that a new engine might be a better choice than buying another car, I researched my options here in the valley and decided to go with ***** and Engine Masters Automotive. I couldnt be happier with that choice due to the warrantee and their ability to accommodate my timing. When a problem occurred, they were quick to resolve it and keep my replacement engine project moving. I highly recommend ***** and his crew!

The service was great , they listen to my situation and explain on what my options were and the recommendations that need to be addressed. They answered all my questions and explained what the causes were. The exchange engine is preforming just like a new engine. The customer service is very good and friendly. I also like the 500 mile check up. This is one place if you need your auto checked , they will be up front and let you know .Engine Masters Automotive
