    I paid in full for awning repair materials that were promised but never delivered. It now appears that ****'s Awnings and Construction ** are no longer in business.

    My mother gave a down payment in January--check was cashed the next day. She passed in April, and we were told supplies had been ordered, were sitting on a ship in some port, and the job would be done in July. Not ONE of the numerous phone calls that my brother and I made have been returned. Now it's November, and we are here in Mesa to sell the house. We no longer want a new awning, as we won't see that return when we sell. My brother has gone to ****'s location three times, and has been told a different lie each time. The office women even yelled at him (great customer service!). Today, he was told they couldn't return our money, so my brother said we'll just have to go to court. This comment was met with little more than a shrug.It's pretty sad that companies like ****'s Awnings steal money from, and take advantage of, old people--even after they're dead! They have no intention of actually doing the job. If you're considering giving this company a down payment, I would think twice. They're probably just using your down payment to meet their payroll. I wonder how many other people have had their down payment stolen from them. More importantly, I wonder how these people live with themselves.
