We have searched our database and cannot locate this customer under ******************************************************************** Corp. Based on the information provided, we believe this complaint may be intended for another company, possibly Credit Acceptance Corp., as our companies are sometimes confused.
At this time, we have no way to verify if this individual is our customer without additional identifying details. If the consumer can provide an account number or other identifying information, we would be happy to review the matter further.
If the consumer would like to discuss this directly, they can contact us at ************, and we will do our best to assist.
Until the consumer provides verifiable account information, we respectfully request that this complaint be removed from our account, as it does not appear to be associated with Credit Security Acceptance Corp, (CSA).
Thank you for your attention to this matter.

I purchased a vehicle from this company and returned it because I could not afford it. The vehicle has been sold WITH my registered tag still applied to the car. I received a traffic warning dated 9/16/2022 that show the tag or registered to me along with a male driving the vehicle. When I spoke with the finance company I was told they do not care and for me to report the tag as stolen. That's providing false information to the police the vehicle or tag wasn't stolen. They where both given back to the finance company. Why did this company sell my identity? This isn't OK and someone need to answer for this. The finance company is trying to *** me for the unpaid balance. I don't understand why because they vehicle has been sold and the vehicle is on my credit. Please help

We are always disappointed when we receive a compliant from a consumer.

We go to great lengths to provide as much information and communicate as clearly as possible to the consumer.

The consumer states she purchased a vehicle from CSA, to be clear, we are not an auto dealer, we are a finance company and do not sell automobiles,we finance automobiles.
Being that we are a finance company we entered into a retail instalment sale contract with *****************, we did not sell her a car.

The terms and conditions of the agreement state on time payments for a duration period without default. If a payment is missed during the term of the agreement, then the consumer is in default and we have the right regardless of the reason to resend the contract. However, this is not a practice but a right we elect to uphold in all situations. Depending on the situation we reserve the right to make an informed decision based on the facts presented.

According to our notes on 4/26/2021 ***************** left her vehicle at a dealership and notified us where the vehicle was and we sent a Licensed 3rd party transport company to retrieve our asset. At the time of voluntary repossession, all personal items had been removed from the vehicle, including the plate. Vehicle was sent for liquidation and the proceeds we received were applied to her balance along with all fees, the remaining balance is what we are pursuing. If any personal items were left in the vehicle, we suggest checking with the dealership the vehicle was left at and seeing if they still have her items including her plate.

We recommend that if her expired license plate is still missing, she report it stolen so that she is no longer at risk of being miss identified.
