I recently got my CDL. As part of my dot physical I needed a sleep study to test for sleep apnea. I went to valley sleep center to get an at home study done on 9/15. Their equipment malfunctioned 3 times but I was still diagnosed as having sleep apnea on 9/29. I informed the staff that I had 3 weeks to get a cpap machine and have 2 weeks worth of data to give to my doctor so I can renew my medical certification so I can keep my CDL. They sent my prescription to a company that does not accept my medical insurance, it took that company, and valley sleep center 2 weeks (I called both several times) to figure out and inform me that they do not accept it. So I went valley sleep study to ask them to help me fix the situation somehow because not only was I risking losing my CDL, by this point, I had already lost my job due to the issue. The man at the front desk was incredibly rude and told me he could resend the info to the provider who does not take my insurance, or he could give me my prescriptions and reports and I could figure it out myself. I took my reports and prescription, called my insurance, spent hours on the phone, finally found the right provider that accepts my insurance (preferred home care) and they informed me that the prescribing doctors office (valley sleep center) had to send it. I could not do it myself. I requested to have my prescription sent to the proper provider on 9/17, today is 9/23 and they still have not sent my prescription over. I left a review on ******, the founder reached out to me, said they were going to help and never did. My dot medical certificate expires tomorrow. Not only did I lose my job, but I am going to lose my license. I feel as though I am being discriminated against because I have state insurance, and I feel like they are purposely retaliating because of the ****** review I left.
