Worst experience of my life. Went in for **** study. Instead they wanted me to sleep without. Cruel after 15 yrs I dont want to go through that. Said if I didnt stop breathing 14 times I would have to come back again and suffer till I quit breathing 14 times per hour. I was first to show up everybody after me got admitted. Woman was rude and basically told me to do it her way or leave. So I left

This would be a general heads up for people in the military, I would avoid this place all together. I have been dealing with the VA, and looking to not even get a second opinion but a confirmation regarding one diagnosis linking to sleep apnea. This leads me to the situation with valley sleep center, and their behavior. In May of 2024, I had my initial consult with the location at arrowhead. I was initially told they could do a nexus letter after I do another sleep study. I informed them that the VA already diagnosed me with sleep apnea, but I was told I needed to do another so that they could write up the nexus. I agreed to doing the sleep study at home (they pushed for the in office one) and it came back with apnea again. The secondary visit (a different person) was a waste as the person said they have no idea what a nexus letter is while pushing a CPAP machine on ******* forward from the initial consult in May to October, I finally got a response regarding this alleged mysterious nexus letter that they knew they could do which consisted of something resembling a doctors note for why someone missed work. It also had a different patients name inside it, with multiple spelling errors. The business could have just said, sorry no we dont do nexus letters, but they very much wanted to bilk me of my and the insurance companies money which leads to the next odd issue.I had a balance of hundreds of dollars that I over-paid, that I found out about via logging into the companys website portal. If I had not inquired about my so called credit they would not have given me my money back. Keep in mind this money was sitting in their account for over 3 months.I called a different location (sun city) to see if they do nexus letters, and they were at least a bit more straight forward in stating I have to pay money to speak to a provider about a yes or no question regarding a nexus letter.

I'm a retired emergency medicine PA who worked in emergency departments in *******, ******* and ******** over the past 20 years and I have never dealt with a more unprofessional, uncaring company than Valley Sleep Center. My pulmonologist ordered a home sleep study at the end of March 2024, it is now the middle of June and they have yet to schedule it. I have called and spoken with several different staff members. There have been calls, that I initiated, between the pulmonologist office and Valley sleep, I have been told the order was not sent on several occasions, despite the pulmonologist office assuring me it was sent. I was told the order was incorrect or that they were waiting for pre authorization, despite my insurance company telling me no preauthorization was required for the study. I was finally told they had the correct order but were now sending it to a third party vendor who would mail me the device and no, 11 days later, I have not yet received it. I just received a message saying they needed to collect a copay and I should call back. Calling back will require yet another lengthy hold, I've waited up to an hour in the past. I have left email messages on the website, phone messages and spoken with employees. I am at a loss as to what further I can do to get them to provide the service that is their business. Thanks to their incompetence I will probably need to reschedule my pulmonologist appointment which was to discuss the results of the test ordered 3 months ago. My health care is being held hostage by the incompetence of Valley Sleep Center.

They push you to their sister business, Valley sleep Therapy, to pick up a CPAP machine. But there is absolutely NO support. You cannot phone them - calls get put on 20 minute holds only to be cut off or sent to a voicemail that is not monitored. I managed to get an appointment by driving 20 miles across the Valley and going into an office. I am not going to do that again to fix my faulty CPAP machine.

Everyone should be aware this business charges $100 for missed visits. Even initial telehealth consults that do not even require a doctor. They are taking advantage of everyone. Recommend to thoroughly consider all your options for sleep studies.
