I booked a rental from Carzi following a mechanical issue with my personal vehicle. The vehicle was reserved from 10:00 a.m. 7/5/2025 to 12:00 p.m. 7/9/2025. At the time of the booking, I paid the fee for the car, totaling $126.24. I uploaded information including my driver's license and my insurance (State Farm, complete/comprehensive insurance). Afterwards, I received an email to pay the $400 security deposit. I was on the way to pick up the rental when I received a text message from a Carzi representative asking to go over terms of the rental. I agreed, at which time the representative told me that they would require an additional $25/day in order for me to rent the car. The rental representative reached out to me at 8:13 a.m. On 7/5/2025, at which point I was approximately one hour away from the Carzi rental facility at **********. I inquired to the representative about the late notice regarding the additional fee, and the representative told me that it was their policy, despite me providing me with all of my information and providing payment in full plus the security deposit prior to this. I expressed concerns about this being a "bait and switch" tactic, to which the representative denied. I informed them of statute (A.R.S. ******* et seq.) of the Consumer Fraud Act, stating that their policy does not superceed state law, to which the representative replied verbatim, "yes it does." I believe that this also falls under "drip pricing," as I had pain in full by the time this additional fee was stated to be required. The representative was also unable to procure any such document that denoted me agreeing to this pricing, despite me asking for it. The representative then denied me the rental car when I stated I was about ********************************************************************************* I have yet to receive any reimbursement either from the initial booking, nor the security deposit.Initial Complaint

I booked a bundle trip with hotel, flight and car through Priceline. When booking in ******* AZ a car rental it automatically bundles you with Carzi car rental. I fill out the car info with me as the pickup but thought I should put my husbands license since he was the driver. I got a text message a while later from a person telling me the license wasnt my license so now I need to add another driver for 8.99 a day in order to be able to pick up the car. I told him I wanted to fix the issue as I didnt want to pay more. He wouldnt tell me how to fix it just that I needed to fix it. No help at all. I tried calling left a message. Well they dont answer calls only text. I want to report this because so many people have wrote horrible, horrible reviews with unsafe cars with pointy metal about the pop the tire as they are driving, and go over bumps it pokes the tires and rubs. Smokey rentals they wont exchange and tell you to F*** off instead. I will put all my messages on here also so you can see. If you can not help me please tell me what else I can do. I want to save more people from this horrible experience. Or even death or an accident from a dangerous car. There are hundreds more reviews like this it feels like a scam honestlyInitial Complaint

Rented a car from this business for large suv, only provided mid size suv. Overcharged for that. But more importantly I took picture of the mileage upon picking up and dropping off vehicle. 88 miles total over the 100 per day- 488. In which I have pictures.This company lied and charged my bank for 599 miles at $1.45 per mile. I had purchased a reservation for a rental car and I was instructed to complete pre-trip questionnaire, which I Received an email thanking me for completing it. I was receiving text messages from carzi In attempt to guide me through the pre-screening So it would be faster check out when I got to the location to pick up the car. I made sure to send Proper documentation. Then when I arrived at location to provide my credit card for charging like typical rental car companies do. I was receiving text messages saying that I would not be qualified to rent with their company after I already paid for the deposit and the reservation for the car for a week. I tried going to the office on site. Nobody was in inside or around. When I wrote a review, simply on what my experience was like, then received response from the number texting me. It was a threatening text message saying This is going public in 10 mins. You can remove your review or everyone can see the fun stuff about you. This company should be investigated and reprimanded to the highest possible degree. As a consumer I should not be attacked with such inappropriate behaviors from a businesss resolution attempt. I rented a car using Kayak website. It sent me to Carzi where I rented a car for two days. I went to pick up rental and hadnt received the confirmation email yet so I messaged them. They tried to upsell me over and over. When I declined they canceled my rental. So I had no transportation for my interviews. *************. I booked a rental car with Carzi November ***** for the amount of $103.37 through Priceline. The car rental service is contactless so I was provided instructions on how to access the car. The car was not in the assigned spot. I searched the entire companys parking lot but did not find a rental car matching the provided information.I informed them of the situation, but did not receive a response from their customer service. On November 6 2024, just prior to leaving on a flight to *******, I utilized the website KAYAK to rent a car. The first option that popped up was a company I have never used before called Carzi. I proceeded to fill out the form and book this as a car rental.While in flight and unable to receive messages, they sent me a text, advising me to fill out some sort of pre-trip form. this was never mentioned in the original contract, nor was it provided at the time of booking. When I landed, I received this message, and simultaneously received a message stating that because I had not filled out their form that my car would not be available until 9 AM. I arrived at 11 PM, proceeded to a parking lot, attempted to contact them through every conceivable avenue that they offered, which was very limited, and got no response.Standing alone in a parking lot at 11:30 at night, I elected to move ahead with different plans and arrange transportation to my final destination in ********I also advised them via the only mode of communication they provided that I no longer needed their services and I would be requiring a refund. They responded at 5:23 AM this morning stating that I would not be receiving a refund and it was my fault for not filling out their form. I advised them that I did not receive the form until after I had landed, and I had simultaneously received their message that the car would no longer be available until the following morning.I told them I would not be needing it, and ask for a refund. They told me I would not be receiving a refund, but it was entirely my fault, and they then threatened to report me to the *** for being a problematic passenger. This company is truly terrible. I will not be paying them. I will be disputing the charge. I would ask for your assistance and certainly put them on your radar as a company that provides horrible customer service and leaves Their clients are stranded in parking lots in the middle of the night.Initial Complaint

Rented a vehicle in my ex girlfriends name. They never had a problem with me doing that. I planned to return the vehicle a day late well the next morning. I put my autistic sons backpack on top of vehicle and went to get him. The company Carzi towed my vehicle with my sons medical bag on top of it. I called immediately to retrieve the bag. He has life saving medication in there. The company called me names and refused to give me the medication. After I told them the name of the medication. The company then ransomed me for $5,000 which is the retail price for the medication. They told me unless I give them $5000 they will not return the bag. The police told me that when a vehicle is towed I am still supposed to be able to retrieve my items. The business told me they will not give me his medication. After I informed them I rented the vehicle and not my girlfriend they tried to charge me more money. I just wanted the bag back. I told them Id give them the key back and work out a payment plan they realized they had expensive medication injections so refused. My son almost died. Bag was sitting on top of my vehicle. It was not my bag it was my step sons. So wasnt inside the vehicle and they still took it and refused to return.Initial Complaint

Date: Oct ***** Cost: unclear as I did not receive my bill but at least $360. My complaint is just the extreme harassment I experienced by their employee, lack of response to my complaint about the cigarette smell in the car, the lack of clear instructions for returning the car and the employees' refusal to provide their name and decision to prolong my request to speak with someone else with more harassment. They never connected me with a manager, made disrespectful and potentially racist remarks and threatened to extort me with insurance claims despite no incidents with the car.
