  They deserve no stars.I contracted with United Movers as I thought the had a good reputation for a long distance move and that they would be reliable. I know they are partnered with Mayflower, but I did not contract with Mayflower, and I had a mayflower truck doing my move. The packers that arrived were courteous, but did a terrible job packing and labeling of my boxes, in particular with fragile items. During the loading of the truck, some of my furniture, that has decent value, was placed on the truck without proper padding and protection. At the end of the day when they were loading the truck I was informed by the driver that the person who they had loaded prior to me had a little extra on the truck and therefore not all of my belongings would be accommodated. They then had dispatch a second separate truck for the remainder of my household goods on a separate date. The delivery was not on time, and when delayed by a day I wasn't even given the courtesy of a phone call, and then I had to accept delivery of the second additional shipment at a separate time as well. Furthermore, when unloading the truck, the driver did not check my items off by number, my belongings were thrown into my storage unit disregarding boxes that were labeled fragile, and some of these wound up under heavier boxes filled with books.To add insult to injury I received and an additional invoice even when the contract stated that there would not be any additional charges applied and it was for the overage delivery.Their business practices are terrible and I would never recommend them to anyone.

  We used Dircks Moving & Logistics for a local ******* move in the late spring of 2022. The move mostly went well. However, the glass of a relatively new, good condition, 55' flat screen ** (which the Dircks movers packed) was broken during the move. The individual mover handling the ** acknowledged the breakage and noted that Dircks would make it right. I was okay with that as accidents happen. But months after the move, Dircks determined that they would only pay $24 for the irreparably damaged **, which I estimated to have a replacement cost of between $400 and $500. Even if Dircks was to have taken a position that my estimate was too high, there is no way a ** of that size and quality could only be worth $24. So in short, Dircks is disreputable and prefers to save a few dollars than live up to properly dealing with a mistake that was clearly its own.

We offer Additional Valuation Protection which you chose not to purchase. The following form was signed by you that you did not want the additional protection. "Dircks Moving & Logistics values your business & makes every effort to minimize the chance for any loss or damage while your goods are in our possession. However, your best course of action is to carefully consider the Valuation Protection options & choose the one that best protects ********** belongings before the move begins. Talk to your Moving Consultant & be sure you understand those options. If after considering the plans available to you, you are choosing Released Value (60 cents per pound per article as illustrated above), we ask that you acknowledge your intent below."The Dircks Moving & Logistics Moving Consultant has clearly explained the Valuation options available for purchase. I fully understand the limited coverage for loss or damage afforded by Released Value (illustrated above) and I elect NOT to purchase any additional coverage beyond Released Value.
