Wall to Wall Flooring is the subcontractor for Express Flooring which we contracted with for a repair on 8/5/2024 of the original install done in 2021. Still waiting for the repair to be completed. Subcontractor has left the repair partially done, doesnt show up for scheduled appointments and has not returned messages. We were promised four new doorway transitions because the original transition were not the correct ones, and that is why the were popping. The repair has been left with one un-installed transition which is a tripping hazard and potential for a lawsuit if an accident occurs.Business Response

I received a call from *** and was assured that the repair person would show up between 8am - 10am on March 13th to complete the repair of the one transition. I texted the repair person ***** to verify that he was to be here on March 13th between 8am - 10am and that I wanted the one transition replaced to match the others. Of course he showed up at 10:10am with the wrong transition and wanted to change them all out to something new which would take hours AGAIN! I told him no that was not acceptable, I had already told *** what I wanted and ***** had even responded to my text message as to what was expected. He said when he was here that he had a new phone number and would send a text message as soon as he got to the van, of course that didnt happen and he left trash on the front patio. This is beyond unacceptable! We would like the repair completed ASAP and our $50 service fee refunded.Business Response

I hired Express Flooring to provide new floors for my home on 7/30/2024. I was given a quote (attached) that included removal of the current flooring. I was told (verbally when signing the agreement) that the project would take about 6-7 days. When the installer arrived, he said the current floor did not need to be removed and he put the new flooring over the existing floor (downstairs). He finished the job in a day and a half, which was fine with me. When I asked for a price adjustment due to the flooring not needing to be removed and significant change in labor costs, I was ignored multiple times. I asked for email addresses, left messages, and spoke with an office worker several times with no response. I finally mailed a certified letter (attached) on 9/18/2024. Months later, I receive a call from **** at Express Flooring who said I signed a change order regarding the adjustment, which did not happen. I asked him to mail me a copy of the document he was referencing and he mailed me the attached letter and original contract (also attached, dated 2/;18/25). There was no change order. I should not be charged for labor/disposal that was agreed upon for the price but did not take place. Please help me get this resolved, if possible. I have tried to get a breakdown of the flooring costs multiple times with no success.Business Response

I looked at Express Floorings website yesterday to get information on carpet. It had me put in my information for a quote. I assumed they would email me, but as soon as I put in my phone number I got a call within 30 seconds. They called me back to back and then texted me asking a good time to talk. I told them I was at work and wasnt able to answer calls. They then texted me back saying Great Ill call you now! And I said no please do not. They then proceeded to call me back to back again. This was at approximately 4pm on 2/25. Since then I have received 23 calls from them including calls past 8:30 pm. I have asked multiple times to be removed and they are still calling. I finally told them if they called again I would report them to the BBB and they called AGAIN. This is absolutely ridiculous. I have dealt with cold calls when I put in free quotes for other companies before and NEVER been harassed to this level.Business Response

On January 27th 2025 I had express flooring come to place new wood floors at which time they put incorrect corterrounds on ..after job was compete i came home and saw ..I called them next day and it look them for ever to get back to me. Finally we scheduled them to come out Feb 13th to get correct corterrounds in. No call no show.. it took for ever again to get some one to call me. .. I dont think I'll ever get anyone back out here to fix my flooring. Now I just want some money back. This was a 6000$ job . So I can hire someone to paint the corterrounds. . We had a **** from express flooring come to the house on Friday February 14th. We were kinda of pressured into buying carpet before it was gone. We wanted soft padding but we're told this thing padding is better, it's not! We were told someone would call on February 15th, between 7am-9am to let us know when the installers would be there. Nobody called and they showed up at our door and we were still in our pajamas and one of us was still sleeping. They moved all of the furniture in all three bedrooms at once and blocked off both of our bathrooms, we had to move things ourselves to use the bathroom. The installers told us the gliders for both closets were broken. They weren't broken when they got here! My 2 roommates were ready to head to ********** and the *** says, oh it's ur lucky day I have some. Then we had to pay him for them, cash. They cut all the carpeting in our driveway and left it a mess. It took an hour to clean that mess. They weren't sure where all the furniture went back, put a mattress in the wrong room and I had to tell them where some of my furniture went. After they left, we checked the carpets in all 3 bedrooms and there was loose carpeting in all the rooms and by all the baseboards. The carpet in the master makes a crinkly sounds in some places and you can actually lift the carpet up off the ground. Also, I found a tack board staple in the walkway of my room, luckily it didn't go in my foot! I called the same day as the installation and they said someone would come out on February 15th and again, they'd call to let us know when. They never called!! Two ***s showed up at our door, ******* and another ***. He agreed it was a bad installation,said he would talk to his boss and get back to us. We also asked for an itemized receipt, we spent over $4000 and we didn't get any receipts at all. I've reached out several times including this morning and now I'm just getting the run around. August 2024 We met with a sales man from express flooring. I specifically choose the tongue and grove luxury vynal plank. He showed me that it was scratch resistant by taking a s**** and trying to ****** into it with no success and mentioned it comes standardwith a 50 year warranty. I paid almost $12,000 for a 925sq ft home. I had removed all of my clothes and such out of the house and only left the big bulky furniture for the installation team to put in the carport. The installation team did not speak any English, I ended up leaving my home with my 2 cats and 2 dogs in an effort to be out of the way and minimize distraction. (One of the installation guys was terrified of my 50lb dog). After the third day I came back to find the big furniture had been moved back, not into place but in function enough places. The major eyesore was they had damaged sevral parts of the wall taking the old baseboards off, and the new baseboards left a 2 in thick ring of unpainted surface at the best and bare dry wall in others. There were a few places that the surface didn't look quite how I imagined it would, so I called the office. The office said it needs to settle and wait for a couple of months. As I waited, several of the planks were coming up. Come to find out the installation team put in laminate. I started trying to get Express Flooring to come out and put the correct materials down, even had in the contract LVP (luxury vynal plank) they finally had someone come out in late December named Paval. He inspected the flooring and affirmed that it is laminate, and that not only were the few places coming up that I found, he was easily able to pull up several others, and tapped on each of the "planks" to show me the "ping" and informed me that each of them will need to be re done, I explained that I just want the correct flooring that I chose, paid for and was very specific about. Another inspector came and confirmed it's not due to water damage. Now they are refusing to do repairs.Business Response

On August 14th we had a sales rep ****** **** come out and sold us what we were told was tongue and groove plank flooring applied with pressure, not glue. We were shown a sample of this product and I informed him that is what we want to go with. He again reiterated its a floating floor thats applied with pressure. I said thats great and would be something that was sturdy and would last. We were told it came with a 50 year warranty and that they had great customer service. When the crew came out to do the install they did not speak English and we attempted to confirm the material was indeed correct and were told yes, this is correct I have never had floors installed and the material was not removed from the box for my partner or I to visually see but the crew again said gray, yes. Good to go We said yes that it was gray that we selected but again never physically saw the material. I was told that its good so my partner and I left the home with our animals while the install was being done. We came back and our furniture had been moved back, which we later found out covered the awful job that the team did. The crew removed and replaced our baseboards and we were told they could order the correct size. In the end- They could not order the correct size and have left our house looking terrible. Fast forward three months later and we realized that a fast one was pulled over on us. We got flooring that we did not want. The floors were coming up. We reached out to Express flooring and I spoke with Juliet ********** and informed her of the issues at hand. I have emailed her many times with no response trying to get on the schedule and have the repairs addressed- including bringing up that we now noticed the material was wrong. We never wanted laminate. I was told the original crew is no longer with the company. Which is no surprise as they did a horrible job. We paid 12K dollars for this flooring and our home has been left in shambles from Express Flooring.Business Response

The sales representative grossly misrepresented their company and the quality of work that they do. He said they had the highest standards and kept referring to the installation team as "our guys" as if they were employees. However they sent over subcontractors that did not work for them and did a terrible job and caused damage, and we have not been able to get any assistance from the company despite being told we had a full lifetime warranty on the install.
