      Completed knee MRI and mammogram today. Asked for medical records on disc. They will not provide records on disc, only through patient portal. Advised re: prior records and they cannot accept digital records from online but can upload images from disc for prior images. See the hypocrisy here? They want a disc, but will not give patient a disc either. This is medical malpractice, in my opinion. What if I need to take records somewhere else, and that somewhere else also does not accept sharing images online (must have disc). This is not patient care, this is money grubbing behavior to keep patient with company.

      I expressed comments and concerns directly to the Supervisor today via phone. Her tone upon picking up seemed disinterested and lacking any care or concern. It was not worth it talking to her but I have severe concerns with how my head wasnt positioned straight, no instructions were given about not moving and for me, I have severe jaw and elasticity issues so I should have been handled with more care and padding to ensure I was straight and not moving. You can clearly see my head was lopsided in the scans but shockingly the supervisor today said my head was straight. I said are you kidding me? Its clearly tilted, badly. She didnt care. I am very disappointed as SMIL is usually the best and better than ***** med and they are not good at all in my opinion and experience. but even having me come in whole under so many medications was concerning. I was told to talk to my provider but they wondered why since they were the imaging experts. I was also supposed to get a call after hours from someone at SMIL based on mg conversation with a phone rep on 5/22, I never got a call. I then called the morning of 5/23 and that *** said there were 0 notes in the file. I said thats disappointing and surprising since I was asked what meds I was on and I gave her the exact names along with listing off all of the *** meds I had taken for pain and inflammation.

      I had an appointment at SMIL for a breast mammogram and ultrasound on 10-4-2022.SMIL doctor advised concern about a mass under left breast, wanted to perform a biopsy. Made 10-24-2022 appointment, same location. I received a cash pay discount of $632 and paid $645 total on day of procedure. Acc #: ******** No "Good Faith ********* provided, "No Surprise Medical Billing Act" requirement. No mention of additional or 3rd party bills.Scottsdale ********************** **** $1,132; no cash pay available.Labcorp $3,576; no cash pay available.Called SMIL multiple times about the third-party billing. VM loops with recorded information about fax/email contacts, with no option to speak to a human. Multiple "experiencing technical difficulties, please try later."2013 biopsy at same SMIL location, no surprise bills.The failure of SMIL to inform me of the additional almost $6k lab costs robbed me of the opportunity limit the biopsy collection as well as to shop around or negotiate for better cash pay pricing.When a doctor expresses concern over a lump in the breast area and suggests a biopsy to rule out cancer or other serious conditions, the patient is in a precarious and vulnerable position. It is completely unethical for the facility to then ignore that patient state and fail to inform the patient of the potential of thousands in third party costs associated with the procedure. That is exactly what the No Surprise Medical Billing law is intended to prevent. The fact that I have been unable to reach a human being and that both Scottsdale ************************* and LabCorp have denied any responsibility, liability, or bill reduction options due to SMIL's failure to inform me of the additional charges runs counter to the spirit and intent of the "No Surprise Medical Billing" law and has been the most frustrating aspect of this whole ordeal.For those reasons, I have been unable to find or negotiate a solution to this surprise billing issue.

      I work in the healthcare industry and my doctor scheduled a mammogram at Scottsdale medical imaging for me a few months ago. I called right away and scheduled the appointment for today January 11th 2023. I got the confirmation text confirming my appointment two days ago. I had to request time off of work to go to this appointment. I showed up today and was told I do not have an appointment because they do not have someone that is able to do a mammogram in their office
