I got a gym memebership with eos along with a personal trainer I was told I could cancel or put a freeze on the account. After my first missed payment Ive tried calling to freeze the account till I had the money and I also wanted to end my membership because the customer service was not helpful. Every time I called and asked for a manger the employee would just keep asking me why or if I could just come in but I cant because Im not there anymore and travel around which is why I wanted to freeze the account and also end the membership. When I received a call back it was days later but I was at work and could not answer and eos has the best times to call me . Time has went by and my account is ******************************************************************************************************************** contact with a manger but Im always disconnected. Now they say I owe all this money for a service I never received .Business Response

I had stopped attending the gym for a period of time (Starting Aug 2022) after having covid and not being well enough to work out. After trying to come back (October 2022) I was informed that my account was cancelled, but there was no written description of why. Since I had not cancelled my membership myself, I just wanted to get it back and move on. I was told I would have to sign back up and pay the annual and sign up fees, which doesn't make sense since I was not the one who cancelled the membership in the first place. I tried reaching out to the district manager but can't get a reply.Business Response

Dealing with canceling memberships False claims were made, and negligent behaviors were perpetrated in order to receive more money, fraudulent activity with customer accounts, and the unauthorized use of credit cards from me after I canceled my membership, my confirmation number is attachedBusiness Response

I have reached out to the district operations manager: *************************** and to the general manager at the Avondale EOS regarding needing a receipt for the monthly dues and annual membership fee of $76.98 that I was charged for on October 3, 2022. I need the receipt that lists the 5 items below to be reimbursed by my company for the gym membership. The gym manager provided an invoice that did not list the service provider name or the service period. I never heard back after I reached out to ***************************. I will be canceling my membership immediately due to this poor service. All I need is a simple receipt. It should not be this difficult. There has to be a way for me to get a receipt. Can someone at EOS please provide a receipt for the October dues & annual membership that I was charged for on October 3rd?1. Service Provider Name 2. Service Amount 3. Service Description 4. Service Recipient's Name 5. Service PeriodBusiness Response

I have been over charged for personal training 4 times between the end of July to September 6th. The last charge I disputed and got that reversed. Im still owed 3 charges of $68 each. I told my trainer in May that I would have to cancel at the end of the contract. July 17th was supposed to be the last charge. I have talked to the Fitness Manager, Sadar, three times about it. *** talked to his assistant twice, the operations manager once and emailed the District Manager, Skylar, about it. The club Im at is 601 *********, ********* It doesnt come up on location.Business Response

I began being a member at EOS fitness in January 2022. I was talked into getting a trainer and I thought I'd give it a shot since I would need to learn the equipment and layout of the gym anyways. I met ******* who was very sweet and I saw her bi-weekly. A couple of months in I get a surprise $60 charge on top of what I already pay. When I asked ******* she said her manager took it into his own hands to sign me up for more sessions. Which I thought was interesting because that would've meant he faked my signature and authorized a change to my account without EVER contacting me. When I confronted the manager about the charges and explained to him that I'm a full-time college student and can't afford this he told me I would have to take my complaint to someone higher up for a refund. When I asked him for a number he shook his head and said "can't you see how busy I am my voicemail box has 88 messages to get back to". These $60 charges continued bi-weekly until I told my credit card company to stop paying EOS. Soon after ******* left EOS and I was left with no trainer and recurring charges. When I asked about canceling the same manager said the best he could do is a month's hold then told me to come back to him if I still don't want to train. I still continued being charged for 2 weeks out of that month. YTD I have paid EOS $240 for monthly membership $700 including $60 charges. I have training sessions piling up about 10 now that I don't plan on using because I am so disgusted with the management of this establishment. I want to cancel my membership entirely but know I will be faced with more fees and I am still a full-time nursing student trying to be smart on a budget.Business Response

0n 9/27/22 I went into EOS Fitness to upgrade my plan that allows me to take a guest . The front desk guy told me he had to get a manager. Tino comes to the front to help me. After a struggle with the system he gets me to sign blank screens for the membership I need. I get an email copy of my signatures and ask why it is says the annual fee will be charged on 10/25/22. He says dont worry that will not happen. So me and my wife say ok and leave. Now tonight when I went to the gym they denied my guest access. They told me Tino is not a manager and I was signed up for the wrong membership. Now after this I do not want to do business with this company. They want me to pay another month for something I didnt knowingly agree to. I want the membership canceled effective immediately. I do not want another 30 days. I verbally agreed to an account with **** which was not opened for me. This account upgrade was deceptive and wrong.Business Response

When I signed up with EOS Fitness last year I was told it is a month to month agreement and I can cancel at any time. That is not the case. I have attempted to cancel on more than one occasion each time I am told it would take 30 days to cancel, and still shows I'm a member because the monthly hasn't been paid. They have debit my account $77 dollars, and they still show I owe $26.99. This is crazy. If I cancel then it shouldn't take 30 days for the process. I would not reccomend doing business with them. I have filed a dispute with my bank to take back the money they debited from my account.Business Response
