On 03-20-2025, my minor child was at the gym when an employee from EOS assaulted her. He physically touched my daughter and kept pulling her wrist to touch her cell phone. Police officers were called the next day to file a report. I had to cancel the membership due to her mental health was more important. She does a disability PTSD.Business Response

I had an agreement via email with a staff member from EoS Fitness Whittier, CA to reactivate my original $29.99/month plan and pay only the two missed months. Based on that, I received a link to register. I trusted that the link followed the same terms discussed. However, after signing up, I was charged $1 and then informed that an additional $89.98 would be charged, including a $59.99 annual facility fee. This fee was never mentioned in our agreement. I would not have signed up if I had known about it.I reached out to the gym to cancel the membership, request a refund of the $1, and stop any further charges. So far, they have not resolved the issue, and I feel the way the fees were introduced was misleading and unfair.I no longer want any membership with EoS Fitness and simply want the $1 refunded and my account fully canceled, with assurance that no other charges (like the $89.98 scheduled for June 30) will be processed.I appreciate BBBs help in resolving this matter.Business Response

On December 30, 2024, I signed up for a membership and also enrolled in personal training (PT). Before my 3-day trial ended, I physically went to the gym and canceled the PT portion of my membership. However, I continued to receive invoices indicating that I owed money for PT. I returned to ****** Rancho and spoke with **** who I was told was the gym manager, who assured me that the issue would be resolved. **** provided me with his cell number to follow-up with him in a few days. My messages were ignored. Despite this, I am still receiving invoices. I then called the gym and spoke with the new manager, but he couldn't assist me. He informed me that **** was no longer at this location and that he, the new manager, was not present in January, so he could not help. Finally, I was able to reach Norm, by the cellphone numer he previously provided me, who advised me to reach out to corporate for further assistance. I have since cancelled my membership, which is also pending. I have yet to hear from corporate. All I want is my contracts cancelled and to be completely done with a business that makes it easy to get in and impossible to get out.Business Response

To whom it may concern,I would like to explain my situation regarding the cancellation of my EOS Fitness membership and why I believe I have been unfairly charged due to miscommunication and lack of clear guidance from EOS staff.I signed up for EOS Fitness at the Syracuse S 1000 W location on February 21, 2025. After using the gym for only one month, I visited the front desk in person and asked to cancel my membership. A staff member told me I needed to pay $113.66 to cancel. I paid this amount on March 25, 2025, and was told my membership was successfully cancelled.Trusting the staffs instructions, I left with the understanding that everything was taken care of, and I never returned to the gym after that day. However, on May 28, 2025, I received a billing notice from ABC Fitness, stating that I still owed additional fees. I was never informed that a written 30-day cancellation notice was requiredhad I known, I absolutely would have followed that step.I acted in good faith, followed all instructions provided, and fulfilled the requested payment. I believe I am now being charged for services I never used due to an internal failure or miscommunication. Therefore, I respectfully request:- That EOS Fitness officially cancel my membership, effective March 25, 2025 - That EOS stop all future billing - That any charges made after March 25, 2025 be refunded I am not seeking special treatmentonly fairness. I have already filed a complaint with the ************* of Consumer Protection and can provide payment receipts and other supporting documents if needed.Thank you for your time and assistance.Sincerely, ****** *** Email: *******************Business Response

************* never cancelled my membership and kept charging me for like 8 months. F****** ridiculous and when trying to sign in as a guest with my ***** to go work out they told me I had to pay whats in collections. I told them I cancelled my account last year and they laughed IN MY FACE. Thry said when i cancelled i didnt pay my last month so they didnt cancel it and kept charging me. They said i could pay 3 months of dues instead ot the balance. This is a f****** scam company, i have never been given such an excuse. They already sold off the debt to abc financial so i dont even owe eos anything anymore!! When i brought that up they said they work very closely with ************* so i would still have to pay it. How can a company have a close relationship with the other party that supposedly purchases the debt? Such a f****** scam. This is some ******** and definitely going to BBB with this. Ive been a paying customer at eos on and off for f****** 10 yearsBusiness Response

I had signed up for a membership with them and then tried to cancel the next day and the manager had to me I had to keep the membership for 4 months. When I spoke with someone Les they had directed me to an online which I had to pay $92.97 in order to cancel my membership. Now even after I had canceled with them they still continue to charge me $80.00 every 2 weeks. When I called them to try and resolve this problem directly they had refused to do so. Recently I had blocked them from my bank but now they are using a slightly different merchant and they are charging me random amounts that was never agreed upon in the contract.( I have evidence that is being such as contracts, bank statements, and recordings of the manager).Business Response

I am writing to formally file a complaint regarding my experience at *** on Litchfield and ******* in ********, ******* involving the personal training services.I was enrolled in personal training for approximately four months, during which time I was subjected to inappropriate and unprofessional comments by one of the personal trainers. Due to the nature of these comments, I raised the issue with the district manager and provided evidence. I was assured at the time that the personal training would be canceled.Despite this assurance, I have continued to be charged for personal training sessions, and the total has now reached approximately $1,000. Moreover, I have been told I am not allowed to access the gym facilities unless I pay this amount, despite the circumstances and the prior agreement regarding cancellation. This situation is unacceptable, especially in light of the misconduct I experienced from your staff. I respectfully request:A full cancellation of all further personal training charges.A refund of the charges incurred after my cancellation request and your confirmation.Immediate reinstatement of my access to the gym, as my general membership should not be affected. If this issue is not resolved within 10 business days, I will consider taking further action by:Reporting this to the ************************ (***) and/or local consumer protection agencies.Leaving an honest review detailing my experience to warn other members.I am hopeful we can resolve this matter amicably and promptly.Business Response

I joined this fitness club and signed up for one on one training. I notice upon each attempt my training was not the full time per the agreement and on one instance I was training with another person. I sent over request to cancel my membership with club as well with the training. I called, sent messages with no form of communication being returned to me. I finally was able to speak to someone name ******* who informed me all that was needed was for me to bring in signed letter stating I want to cancel. I brought this letter in on March ****** and provided it to ******* who informed me he will provide it to management. No one contacted me. I spoke to manager the beginning of May who told me my balance was 646 dollars to cancel . now Im getting notification of 1250 dollars. I have tried and tired to do this the right way but they do not want to accept the cancellation only continue to charge money.Business Response

I do not accept the business response any longer because I attempted to reach back out to the regional Nicole Ryans and to this day did not get any form or response about the additional debit or any confirmation from EOS about any refund. EOS contacted me and said they will review. As of today I want all of my money back and do not want any further communication from This company for they aim to take money which is not owed and doesn’t care about customer service or a customers stress that they have caused. This is caused me unnecessary stress about this whole situation.Business Response

4/16/2025 my son ******* ***** 18 years old by 1 mo. was taken advantage of by the predatory practices on this *** They convinced him to sign up for a contract that was not affordable to him. He didn't make enough money to pay the pills being a high school student and working very part time for minimal wage. When he requested to change his account to a lower account they added the lower account and did't remove the old higher amount being taken out every two wks... he sent several request to have the account stoped but only found road blocks - - lots of run-a-round. I spoke to the company and they stopped the first contract but the lower account still is being taken out of his account. we have requested a "Buy-Out" and they are not helping us get my son out of this contract. money is still being taken out at $50.00 every two wks !!!Business Response
